I’m trying to get my son to sleep in his own bed, he’s 9 months old and it’s just me and him I was wondering if anyone had any tips on how to go through this process.

I started transitioning to his own bed by putting a crib mattress on the floor next to our bed. So I'd feed him to sleep on that and then crawl into my bed. And then we have a floor bed in his room, so I do the same thing but in his own room now.

wow that’s an amazing idea thanks!

I want to know this too as my LG is a very wriggly sleeper and also very clingy to me so I’m getting no sleep at the moment!
can I ask how long this process took before he was sleeping in there through the night by himself? I’ve been doing this in her next to me crib but she just keeps waking up every time I move away!

I started with the naps during the day, when he was around 8 months old. And we have had his bed set up since 10 months old. He's never been a great sleeper though. Wakes on average now 1-4 times a night, and I just go in and feed him to sleep and leave again. Sometimes I fall asleep with him, which is so easy withe the floor bed haha

Same as Alisha, floor mattress at the foot of our bed first (ended up being for about a year, but we werent in a hurry). Then moved mattress to hi la own room
