I have no one else to talk to, and I just just need anybody’s opinion at this point my heart hurts and I don’t know what to do. My niece recently told me that her dad has been molesting her since the age of 8 , I obviously told her mother and they moved away from that Piece of shit. On the other hand, my mother was heartbroken because she didn’t know where her son was when I broke the news to her. She called my niece a liar… now my family has moved him in and there’s no siding with him. My mom often comes to my house to try to get some information on them, but of course I’m not gonna say anything. It just breaks my heart because She’s never visited me ever just to visit me. It’s always when she needs something. I guess I just wanna understand as a mother wouldn’t you want your son to do the right thing (i know I’m all over the place). I know I have to cut them all all of my life it just breaks my heart because they refuse to see the truth. Man this sucks. I know she’s awful but she’s my mom. 😣😖😔

I’m so sorry love. That is such a hard place to be in right now. You did the right thing in protecting your niece. A girl should always feel protected and safe. You gave her the possibility for that to happen. You should be very proud of yourself for being willing to do the right thing. Just know your mother’s heart is so broken. There is no way any of us could possibly understand what she is going through to learn this about her son. I would give her grace in your heart and pray for her but also protect yourself from her with some boundaries in the relationship.
I pray every night for them I think what really hurts is that boundaries is no such thing to her we’re Hispanic household and the only option I have in order to protect my niece is to cut them off completely. The only thing I can do right now is pray that they see the truth.
Thank you for your time and kindness into your comment. I truly appreciate it. You have no idea how much I needed it thank you so much 💕

The tip of the spear is always the bloodiest. You’re amazing. Sounds like you are really carrying a lot of weight for the family right. Prayers go out to you! ❤️ I pray for wisdom and guidance in all this.

You’re not alone. your sisters are praying for you! ❤️ glad I could be here for you.
I truly believe God wanted me to comment this. you helped me find some kind of peace in a way. I pray nothing but good things for you. You are a such a blessing. ♥️

You did the right thing and that was so so brave of you to do so especially when it's someone from your family.
I would cut your mother off, or only allow her in when she wants to see you and talk to you rather than mention your niece and her mum. If she was to mention them I'd show her the door. This is also so disrespectful of your time. She clearly isn't as brave and caring as you are.
I think she needs therapy, it must be awful to hear that about her son and she most likely doesn't want to believe it or would give him excuses.
Good luck to you, you're doing amazing and you sound like a very kind soul. Please protect yourself and your happiness. Xx

It's never easy to cut off your own mother but I think that's the right choice.

I was molested and r* by my brother. My mom still manages to bring him up in casual conversation. I understand how confusing this is for you but imagine it being your child. He is still her child and your instant reaction is to come to his defense. There's really no reason for it other than that. It's a crappy situation for every person involved. Preds are very manipulative and smart when it comes to convincing people of their innocence. She may come around but I'd absolutely tell her that this can't go on and if it does we can't talk for awhile. It sucks cutting people out and trying to place a block there but I think you'll find your guilt will go away. Resentment will be there but thats easier to shake off.

Most women have experienced an abusive/incestuous/violent relationship in his life. Yet we still think our male friends/brothers/dad/granddad,... Have never done wrong.
The problem is systemical. Once we'll understand that we will be able to act for misogyny to stop. Molesters/ rapist are our familiars and friends and we have to stop protecting them when it happens.
We have to educate and recognize we are wrong to make things better.
I have a son, and I m raising him for him to NOT be a rapist.
We have to raise our sons. Teach them about consent, sex and affection. We have a huge responsibility here.
I m very sorry you are in this position and to me it's wild your mom protect her son and not her grandkid. This old generation have been victims of so many abuses, they don't even see the problem in it.
I wish my kid would have an aunt like you. Protecting him no matter what. Send you lots of love. You are a great human
I do agree I feel like our generation of parents really mask there problems instead of facing them and didn’t really explain these kinds of concerns and consequences. I pray we finally learn to break the cycle for the sake of our babies.
