Where/how to store bottles

We’ve got the large easy start MAM bottle set and we’re yet to open the box as we don’t know when we should be sterilising them ahead of little one’s arrival.

Hoping to just sterilise them in the microwave (fingers crossed they fit), but once each bottle is sterilised do we need to keep them in anything? I know you can buy an actual MAM steriliser to replace the microwave which you can probs leave the bottles in there as well, but what if we’re not using that for now?

Can I store them just in the kitchen cupboard, if so how can I do it safely and should we put all the parts of the bottle back together before we do so?

They are only sterile for 24 hours, some sterilisers will also dry them and can be storage too! But I think they can be stored in the fridge or cupboard once dry and sterile! I’m going to do cold water Milton as seems easiest lol x

Only sterile for 24 hours. So you sterilise as you go. You can unbox them now and wash them and see if they fit in microwave.

Once they're sterilised you need to make up the bottle straight away and put all pieces back together, with the lid on. Don't dry them with anything or leave them to air dry as that makes them no longer sterile.

thank you!! yeah we aren’t going to sterilise them until we’re back from the hospital just wanted to know about storing - cupboard it is!!

thank you yeah we aren’t sterilising them/getting them out yet! more just wanting to know about where to store them but it’s good to know for certain that we put all the parts together again (a lot easier too)

I have the mam bottles, we use the dr browns steriliser which sterilises and dries and can be kept in there for 24 hours

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🥲

4 month bed time

What time do you put your babies to bed?
What time do you start your 'routine?'
My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.
We are exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice Mamas?

Combi feeding advice

Has anyone gone from EBF to combi feeding? Currently do one bottle of EBM per night and they one half formula half breast milk mixed in the day. The other times she still feeds on me. Ideally I want to feed all day via bottle and all night with breast. She’s 7 weeks and takes a bottle well, how long should I leave it before adding another bottle to her daily routine?

Baby losing weight

Hi all, it's been a long time since I had a baby (my son is 15!). My daughter is 10 days old and was 9lb born, she has since lost weight at every appointment and is at a 12% loss. I am breast feeding every two hours for over an hour and topping her up every feed. I pump and can get 60ml in 10 minutes so I know my supply is okay. Anyone had this before? Can give me some tips? I currently feel like I'm letting my baby down.
