All I can say is that it’s normal. My first hated being in the crib.
Have him in a snugglbundl when transferring him did help but it was only for a short while.
They say to put them in the crib as soon as they get drowsy to get them used to it but that never worked with us

Also had a baby 2 days ago who won’t go into the next to me crib or be put down full stop! Me and my partner are taking it in turns to catch up on sleep, also been co sleeping (I understand this isn’t for everyone) but if you are interested, ‘cosleepy’ on Instagram have a post on how to chest sleep safely and I found it so helpful last night - we both got a couple of hours sleep like it xx

Our little girl is the same, so I’m just going to roll with it as don’t want to force it. We are trying to take 4 hour shifts each

Yes, swaddle bags if you aren't using them. White noise playing all night. Get him to sleep on you then wait at least 10 minutes before trying to put him down. Put him down feet first head last so you don't trigger the Moro reflex. You could consider warming the crib with a hot water bottle first (obviously check it isn't too hot) so he isn't going from your warmth to a cold surface which may wake him. Check you are dressing him appropriately for room temperature so he isn't too hot or cold... Hope something here helps!

My son didn’t like his crib so we had him in a Moses basket and he slept better as it was smaller and more cosy! They spent 9 months close to you, smelling you, listening to your heartbeat, warm and inside you, so now an empty big crib seems lonely and unsettling for them

Honestly I wouldn't be expecting them to settle away from you just yet. Very normal for them to want to be on you the whole time.

Its not nhs recommended but a baby nest is the only thing that worked for us with our 1st to get her to settle anywhere that wasn't on us. We used it downstairs for naps during the day then put it inside the next to me at night

We used a hot water bottle and then take it out well in advance before baby goes in so that the nest is similar temperature to you holding them. Also, top up with formula if you’re happy to. It’s possible baby is hungry if not settling. We’ve found that doing both those things have massively helped as I was in the same boat a few days post birth. You could also put something in the crib that smells of you then take it out before they go in X

It’s tough, It was a huge trial and error. Mine would go down fine at night but in the day, didn’t like it at all. I tried swaddling, using a hot water bottle before etc. like above, we used the nest downstairs which was fine for about a month.
I ended up giving up and baby wearing him/contact napping 😭 and then decided around 4 months to try the next to me crib again for day time naps and he went down 🥳 and has been ever since.
