Breast feeding with large saggy boobs!

Hello, our baby girl was born on Sunday and I have been attempting to EBF, however I have 36GG breasts and they have always been saggy so struggling for positions and baby’s latch due to nipples effectively hidden at the bottom of my boobs 😢

Does anyone have any advice? The midwife’s at the hospital and the feeding team have all given conflicting advice, to the point every single person had a different way to do things and it’s got my head in a bit of a pickle 😢😢 my thoughts are that it just isn’t possible for me tbh.

Have you tried doing it lying down? I round it the only way at first but as baby gets older they get better and it gets so much easier

I'm part of the Itty bitty titty committee but feel like lying down or football/rugby hold would be best for this situation

Maybe try a muslin cloth or something under your boob for better nipple positioning

I found this too, I struggled with feeding for the first day and the midwives also all gave me different info😫 I found grabbing/cupping the boob with one hand and using the other hand and arm to put baby on worked. 2 days later we are much better. Its so hard, almost gave up at one point but stick to your guns, you've got this xx

Hello! Thanks all - unfortunately all the suggestions we had already tried and ended up in a hospital trip early morning as baby not getting enough milk so have made the decision to go to bottle - combo of formula/expressing. Big change in baby already and so grateful for the days we did have breast feeding 🩷

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🥲

Self settling

Any tips or advice of how to teach 6.5month old to self settle? I’m up multiple times in the night to cuddle her back to sleep and put the dummy in. I understand she will wake up and want a cuddle etc but any tips on self settling would be appreciated 🥰

Baby losing weight

Hi all, it's been a long time since I had a baby (my son is 15!). My daughter is 10 days old and was 9lb born, she has since lost weight at every appointment and is at a 12% loss. I am breast feeding every two hours for over an hour and topping her up every feed. I pump and can get 60ml in 10 minutes so I know my supply is okay. Anyone had this before? Can give me some tips? I currently feel like I'm letting my baby down.

Hi ya'll

Is anyone else's 4 month old randomly screeching now? I'm not sure what to do and she's been doing this for the past two days. She's usually a quiet happy baby so im not sure why she's doing this now. Aby suggestions?
