Anyone else’s kid at almost 6 months old constantly wakes up and starts crying whenever their pacifier falls out of their mouth?
My son is almost 6 months old and needs his pacifier to fall asleep and to be swaddled as well, however he’s so specific, when he’s swaddled he needs a specific blanket over him and most the time I have to turn him on his side because that’s the only way to get him to sleep for at least 2-3 hrs it feels like. However, the problem here is that when he goes into a deep sleep his pacifier ends up falling out which will eventually wake him up and he becomes fussy and irritable with 1) the fact that it fell out
2) where it landed
3) the fact that he can’t put it back in his mouth.
I’ve tried so many solutions on how to keep it in his mouth (safely might I add) but it’s always the same results.
I’ve even tried to ween him off a bit but he’s just so attached to it. If anyone has any suggestions on what to do? Cause not giving it to him isn’t an option right now, because he will just end up screaming and crying for it until he gets it back.

Following because my boy is the same way and he’s not even 2 months yet! 🫶🏻

my son at first didn’t really like the pacifier that much now it’s like it’s his lifeline 😭🤦🏽♀️

My son won’t take a paci unless he’s at daycare

Is your baby attached to it during the day. I guess we play with it. We talk to him and get him to smile and take it out and encourage him to talk to us. So I think that helps him not be so connected to it? I'm guessing because he does prefer the pacifier but doesn't always have it.

My son used to do that too before he learned to put the pacifier back in by himself. I think that was around 8 months so not much longer to go. Also not sure if he's in your bedroom now, but we noticed he got really good at self soothing once we moved him in his own room (7 months)
