Little one keeps hitting herself off the cot bars at night as she is like me and refuses to lay still at night.we are thinking of transitioning her to a floor bed but have no idea how the logistics work - i.e how do we stop her just getting up and roaming around the house if she feels like it?
Would very much appreciate any advice from people who have been in this position!

Have you thought about getting a baby gate for her bedroom door? 😊 x

As above we have a babygate on his room, but my little one used to hit his head all the time but eventually got used to it, personally Id like a floor bed but have furniture in his room including a rocking chair that I dont want him messing with whilst we're asleep

My little one always hits the cot bars too but it doesn’t seem to bother him. I don’t see it as a reason to switch him to a bed, because I have the same concerns about little one not being mature enough for it

We’re getting our little boy a floor bed at Christmas, we’re just gonna close his door so he can’t get out

We have small double size floor bed. I always stay until he falls asleep and he calls me, if he wakes up.

We're just beginning to think about this. Going against the baby gate as I think we'll have a climber 🫣 but we're going to close the door and put a door alarm/bell on to let us know when/if he opens it.
