I used Aldi 1&2, but didnt like 3.
Boots - awful
Sainsbury’s 3, very good
Lidl 3 good
Tesco 3 very good
Asda 2, terrible
Pampers for nights

We’ve tried lots of supermarket brands and past size 3 the best ones for us have been pampers. All the others seemed low quality in comparison

Aldi Mamia nappies work well for me

Fred and Flo is our favourite. And the quantity you’ll need will depend on your baby and how big they are at birth and how quick they are growing.

We started off in size 0 and were in them for 2 months. Size 1 we used for 4 months. Size 2 we are still in verging onto size 3 at the age of 10 months old x

We use Aldi Mamia for during the day, and pampers at night.

We used Aldi mamia size 1 and 2 but the quality really goes off by size 3. Pampers are by far the best in our opinion so we use those overnight, but expensive if used all the time. We have found for size 3 and up the best cheap brand has been Fred and Flo from Tesco, so we use those in the day and Pampers at night

I use pampers and bulk buy on amazon, size 3 204 nappies is £35. Aldi mamia I found to constantly leak and they were stiffer (she didn't ever get nappy rash from them but red marks where creases of the nappy dug in)

In size 1 we liked Tesco (also tried Lidl & Pampers, neither were as good). She's just gone into size 2 and using lidl but that's because we got given loads at my baby shower. I think we went through 4 or 5 packs in size 1

We always used pampers, my lo was 7lbs 9oz and was in the newborn ones till she was 2 months old so just brought when we needed. As she got older I bulked brought once and she shot up to the next size 🤣🤦🏻‍♀️

I’ve always used Kit & Kin mainly, more expensive but worth it if you can afford it as they are kinder to baby’s skin and the planet (I have a discount code if you’d like). Eco by Naty are also another more natural brand and are just as good

We use pampers, we tried mamia but our baby’s skin just didn’t take to it! She was 7lb 6oz at birth and was in size 1s until about week 5- we went through one pack of 144 in her first 2 weeks xx

We use Kit and Kin. I would advise against stocking up, just get a few packs and then buy more when needed, this way you can also change brand if it doesn't work out. We started with size 1 that in our case is 2-5kg, he was born 4kg and now at almost 3 weeks we are sizing up already.

Aldi Mamia newborn great in sizes 1 - 3
Sainsbury’s nappy pants sizes 4 - 7 - brilliant
Tesco taped and nappy pants all sizes - brilliant
Pampers for night time - best overnight protection and absorbency get the jumbo packs on offer 2 for £20 in Asda, Tesco or Morrisons

we switched to cloth nappies quite early. Found them much better as their non toxic, eco friendly etc we use tesco brand if needed. We alternated between tesco and aldi nappies and were gifted a ton of pampers but never purposly brought them.

I purchased about 6 packs in size 1 to start with, all from different brands so I could try them out. I had Pampers, Lidl, Sainsbury’s and Boots Bamboo range. Our baby needed size 0 as he was born early but we only bought those once he was born 😊

Can someone pls help i keep making this post and nobody is responding

My boyfriend booked a trip for us to go to mexico for a week as my push present. I have severe anxiety leaving my 7 month old with my mom. I know she will be in good hands but she’s exclusively breast fed for the most part but accepts bottles just fine. i have all my pumping parts packed and will pump when baby normally eats but i don’t want baby to forget me or have latch issues when i return!! any mommas ever experience this?

Postpartum

I’m only 3 days postpartum (FTM) and already have extremely bad anxiety. I’m crying every night, as I think of another night of no sleep. My baby will not settle in his cot, he cries every moment we put him down unless in his chair rocker. So me and my partner are having to alternate after 3/4 hours of being awake with him downstairs. I’m trying everything to get him to settle. It’s a load of overwhelming stress. I’m 23, I was desperate for a baby and now I have one and feel completely useless. I miss it just being me and my partner.

When does it get better?

I was crying on the phone with the perinatal mental health team today and the lovely lady, bless her, kept assuring me that it gets better. I kept telling her I hope so because people have been saying that since having my LO and it just feels like it keeps getting worse. She assured me it gets better....

Night time routine

Heya, my 3 week old daughter is currently exclusively breastfed and I’m not pumping. Can anyone recommend the best way to share the load with my partner? At the moment I’m doing all the feeds/burbs/settling and my partner is sleeping through which obviously isn’t sustainable, I’m trying to work out the best way to get him involved. Any advice very much appreciated!

Rapid cool/ hot shot method

Sorry if this sound stupid but how are we doing the hot shot method?
Are we boiling the kettle and letting it cool a little before adding to hot flask? Then with the cool water do you boil the kettle and leave it to cool right down before putting into another flask?
My baby brain is fried trying to work out the easiest way!

Rant/WWYD

My sister (youngest, 24) has two kids, 4 & 1, and i (oldest, 30) just have my one who’s 6mo old right now, so i ask her for advice or call her to vent about things sometimes. Well im tired of her turning around and telling my other family members that I’m “losing my sh*t.” Literally have not lost my sh*t nor have i ever freaked out to her about my baby, i just call her to talk and tell her what stage my baby is in or talk through how im feeling, but she chooses to tell people that im like a complete nutcase or something which worries me that my family is going to start being judgmental about me as a mother or looking at me funny like I’m some fragile ticking time bomb.

What would you do in this situation? I’m already pretty much decided that I’ll stop telling her anything about my struggles, but I’m almost at the point where i feel like it should be confronted because she, of all people, should understand what I’m going through.
