It’s the only way!

I had two boob monsters drastically weaned at 2 years also. It took a week of screaming but it had to be done. They are fine now but it was literally the only way to get them to stop when they are so big

Or sorry I think I miss read. I didn’t mean leaving them is the only way. Refusing them is the only way just point blank refuse it they Will have tantrums but it won’t kill them. They will soon get the message.

Good luck x

I am curious as to why you are stopping. I only ask because I wouldnt want you to think that you have to stop at a certain age or something or need to stop if you are going back to work as they would just adjust to the new schedule. I dont have a practical tips since i am still breastfeeding at 3 years old but i wanted to share my piece of mind if you feel pressured to stop because they are getting too old. My personal philosophy is respectful weaning and i dont vibe with methods of letting baby have tantrums and be deeply sad because they dont have their comfort anymore. So i have been letting my son slowly wean himself. He no longer asks for titty when we are out and about socializing or at the store. He def still needs it to sleep at night but thats pretty much it. Wish you the best ✨

I have a two year old too that doesn’t want to stop nursing either and she’ll be three in Jan. In my case apparently it’s impacted her baby teeth. It’s just very challenging to stop her, I’ve attempted so many times. I wish she can stop on her own versus me having to cry it out

😔 looks like me too

I want to stop because he isn’t letting me sleep well at night since he wants to be on my boob. I wake up with my back hurting. That’s the main reason but I feel like eventually he needs to stop either way.

Did he only recently turn 2? There is a sleep regression and a boob regression at their 2nd birthday, due to a huge cognitive development.

The reason I ask is, it's a VERY hard time to wean and I'd recommend you wait another month

yes late August

I actually explained it to him over and over and over again and he eventually stopped somewhat on his own with very minimal crying. Everyday I would tell him that he's a big boy now and that boobies are for babies.I never offered and even made comments sometimes when he would go for it like "You're a big boy now silly, boobies are for babies, would you kike some milk?" .. let me just say, mine was OBSESSED. Like I never imagined him stopping and we made it, so I hope this helps! You got this 👍

thank you gives me hope and yeah I try to redirect him but he just screams no and tries to pull my shirt

Co-Sleeping

I’m seeing alot of mums mentioning co-sleeping, at my hospital they had us sign a paper saying we wouldn’t and all the risks of it.

I’m just curious why there is so much negative on it when it seems it’s a positive in some cases I’ve read.

Anyone else's baby NOT sleeping through the night?

I would never have expected this, but I am seeing so many comments from mums saying that their baby sleeps through the night. It can't just be my baby who is waking up every 1-2 hours? Please say I am not alone...

For the breastfeeding moms

What drink should I choose instead of soda? I’ve been drinking a lot of soda and sometimes water, but I want something bubbly to drink while breastfeeding. I don’t like seltzer water or flavored versions. Please help me find a drink.

What time are you guys going to bed?

We go to bed at like 11ish, and baby goes same time as us so I will feed him right before lights out and he’ll go to sleep in the next to me at same time as us. But some people are putting their babies down much earlier - how and why do you do that ? Do you then go to bed that early too? What about breast feeding?

Regression struggles

My baby has woken up upwards of 8 times already tonight. Nothing works. I am mentally and physically exhausted. This is week 3 of this and every night is worst than the last. Feeding doesn’t work, rocking works until I try to lie him down, co sleeping doesn’t work. He has a dummy but cannot keep it in his mouth so I have to hold it in. I tried to take it away a few nights ago but he screamed for 3 hours until I gave in.

All day all I think about is how horrific night time will be. I don’t enjoy any of being a mum as I’m consumed by how exhausted I am and how this will only get worse.
