I saw a post on TikTok about a person living next door to a newborn and the baby constantly crying at night as they do, the person was saying they are up at 5:00 am everyday and whether they should say something to the parents about the noise what do you think?

5am is somewhat reasonable. If they were screaming at all hours of the night that's different (not that there is anything the parents can do but I could understand a formal noise complaint as it is within their right as a tenant)

To me, unfortunately babies cry at any time, unless there’s reason for concern I think talking to the parents would just add unnecessary stress.
They could buy earplugs? It’s how we always dealt with neighbours babies where we previously lived.

I think the parents are already acutely aware of the noise, and probably don’t need someone to say something to them about it. No idea what that would achieve. (“Oh sorry, we’ll try to turn the volume down”??)
