I’m currently 17 +3 weeks with my second baby. My first baby is 16 months old and is a boy. My NIPT test results I had done at 10+4 weeks and it came back as another boy. My anatomy scan is November 25th I cannot help but he skepticle about the gender of this baby. I truly feel like this go around this baby is a girl my symptoms have been very different. Has that every happened to anyone that the NIPT was wrong before or am I just in denial lol 😂

Sounds like you’re just in denial lol. Not every pregnancy is the same

haha I kind of figured I wanted a girl so badly this time around. I read that if your fetal fraction was low for NIPT it can be in accurate and my fetal fraction was only 6% so I’m like desperate for a girl but I wasn’t sure if NIPT could be wrong cause I didn’t do a whole lot of research on the NIPT test outside of that it tests for the abnormalities.

that’s fair. Maybe just wait until the ultrasound to start buying gender specific stuff. 😅

Wishful thinking. It's a DNA test. If there are Y chromosomes in your maternal DNA sample, there is pretty much no chance it's wrong. If the fetal fraction is low and it does not detect any Y chromosomes, then it could just be that none were present in that particular sample.

that’s what I was planning on doing 🤣 I was hoping some people may have had it be wrong so I can feed my delusion until the end of the month when I get my anatomy scan lmao 🤣

At 10 +4 weeks, the results would have been pretty accurate for gender. Inaccuracies mainly come up if the test is performed too early (less than 9 weeks).
