I'm going to give her keyworker a voucher and then get the rest some little candles or handcreams

Avatar

Only keyworker and a couple of pound spent is all
Then I'll do an xmas card 'to all staff'
I don't know them well enough to know what they like and don't think I need to be buying gift cards etc for them 😅

My LO’s class has 3 teachers. She is a toddler. So I will do 3 bags for them. Also the director is so good as this our first time and she has been very patient with all our queries. And one for the in-house chef who does all the meals. Will stick to max budget of $10-15 each.

@sara how much would a burr basket cost ? Sorry, but hearing about this for first time and I like the idea but it seems expensive from the picture you shared.

Yes, as it's also the end of the year here, so a Christmas/thank you/end of year gift.
The usual here is chocolates, something for the classroom coffee mugs with lollies/coffee making supplies notebooks, etc
And a thankful picture and note and wishing them a merry Christmas and happy new year.

We wil do a chocolates for her key worker, and then a box of chocolates for the rest od the staff in the room. Nothing too much

if they have no allergies and if you know their preferences i’d bake cookies and a box of gourmet chocolates. i try not to dye scented candles or perfume, or home items incase they already have it, and most teachers complain parents give them mugs so they always have too many mugs at home, but gift cards are great too if you know the stores they like :)

My husband and I are thinking of getting them each a bottle of wine. They always joke that our son is making them drink when they go home so we thought it would be funny

This is just like any other seasonal basket like Halloween/Boo basket, ect,. It’s all up to you on what you’d like to add. The picture was for an example what you can add in the basket. My son also has 3 teachers as well.

As a previous teacher we appreciate everything, but unless you really know the teacher avoid food, treats and drinks unless you know they like them. So many times we would get food and drinks that we did not like and they just went to waste. Gift cards are easiest - Amazon, visa, grocery, gas. Another thing parents did was team up as a class and buy the classroom teachers a breakfast/lunch they all liked. Thanks for thinking of the hard working teachers ❀

It did not occur to me to buy Xmas gifts but during teacher appreciation week I gave straight cash ($40 per teacher for 5 teachers) and they loved that.

One of my daughter’s teachers went on maternity leave and I gave her a $50 Amazon gift card.

I usually put a box of biscuits in the staff room

I write a note in a card, give a gift card, and make an ornament for them. The first year we made a funny engraved ornament with my son's grumpy face on one side and his happy face on the other, and his daycare teacher told me two years later it was her favorite gift ever, lol!

Our first christmas with our baby wull be next year, but ive been a daycare teacher for years and for me, the best gifts ive loved recieving the most are a cute travel mug, a small giftcard (enough for a latte or a small gift for myself at target) chocolate, or fuzzy socks. The one that i love getting the most is a thoughtful handwritten card from the family. (Bonus points if kiddo added a creative flourish!) It defanatly doesnt have to be a huge gift! Just a small gesture is so so huge. ♄

(I will say though, if you choose to give alcohol, make sure your teachers drink first! Cant tell you how many bottles of wine or vodka ive given to other teachers in my day!)

Just a hamper between them all, hot chocolate tea coffee biscuits cake and chocolates

Avatar

Depends on the year and my budget.
Last year I gave the gift of pulling my child out early so we didn’t spread them C0vid lol.
We’ve done cards, gift cards, cash, chocolates.

Avatar

I send 2 boxes of gourmet fruit. One for all the kids to share as a snack and one for the teacher and her family

Avatar

Last year I got them hand sanitizer and hand lotion.

This year I got them each a pair of fuzzy socks and some are getting a sample size mascara and others are getting a trendy hair serum. One is pregnant so I got her an extra gift for the baby.

I aim for functional things that people will actually use. When my boys moved from the toddler to preschool rooms, I got the toddler teachers a little gift box with a scrub mommy sponge, an ankle bracelet and a Starbucks gift card. Both have since asked me where I got the sponge because they want to get another one.

If your partner got a prostitute pregnant and then abandoned the child/ran away, what would be your response? Read

So you were not in a relationship at the time or were about to be in a relationship, he gets the prostitute pregnant.
It’s her fault for not taking their morning after pill.
He tells her straight up that he’s not going to be involved and that she should terminate it.
She says that she won’t terminate and she hopes that he does stick around

So she deliberately gets pregnant, basically traps him

What would be your reaction?
he’s response is:
“She trapped me and it’s her fault for not taking the pill”
