We are a week into leap 7 and my 9.5 month old has become the unhappiest version of himself yet 😩
He whines, cries and has started throwing tantrums pretty much all day long, regardless of whether he’s playing, eating, at home or out and about. His sleep isn’t great either. We went through a 2 month sleep regression that only ended about 3 weeks ago and have now moved him into his own room and bigger cot (he has been in a next to me in our room until now). But he wakes up every couple of hours crying in his sleep or he moves around constantly and bangs his head on the wooden cot sides. Anyone else going through this? This is the worst leap yet!!

Yep! It may well not be the leap but separation anxiety which peaks around this age. Or possibly a bit of both…. Amongst everything else! I find sitting and playing a lot more in close proximity with cuddly intervals really helps.

My sons struggling with separation anxiety really bad at the moment it peaks at 9 and a half months xxx
