Just wondering how much everyone’s LO is sleeping over a day, I use huckleberry to track sleep for my girl as her sleep has never been great and sometimes it gives you tips. I got a message saying most 8 month olds should be having 11-12 hours a night and 2-3 hours of naps in the day.
I’m lucky if my LO sleeps 9 and a half hours a night. I’ve tried playing around with earlier or later bed times she still just sleeps the same. We have a lot of nights just now where she’s awake for 1.5 to 2 hours at random times doesn’t want milk she’s just awake! A good day for sleep is 2 hours of naps in total spread across 2 or 3 depending what time she wakes of a morning.
So all in all she’s only sleeping around 11 and a half hours in a 24 hour period.
Is there anything I can do to try and lengthen night sleep? Or is anyone else’s LO like this and just doesn’t need as much sleep as the typical baby?
Thanks xx

We are similar - bub is happy and hitting milestones so I'm not concerned. I find some days he sleeps more and others less! We just go with the flow.
We are also going through the random being awake for 1-2 hours just because. Fun times 🫣

my girl is doing it about 3 nights every week and still wakes up at her usual time full of beans 🫠😂 how!!

We use huckleberry too and our little one does about 12.5 hours a day, split as about 10 hours at night and 2.5 hours of naps. Not sure how helpful this is, but I’ve heard people say that the app is quite generous on how long they should sleep, and so if your baby doesn’t sleep as much as it says and seems to be developing well then they might just have lower sleep needs. Hope that helps x
