Does Aptamil cause constipation

My baby is 12 weeks.she breastfeeds and recently started taking formula (Aptamil) we recently ran out of Aptamil and got cow and gate the premed bottle just one to try and she immediately opened her bowels. She’s back on Aptamil now and breast milk but seems like she’s constipated, she’s fussy, straining to poo and passing smelly gasses. Do I change back to cow and gate( is it good for her) or stick with Aptamil

I've been wondering rhe same thing! Mines been formula fed from birth though, swapped from kendamil at 2 weeks due to the shortage. However, the premade bottles do make them poo a lot easier due to a laxative type ingredient. If she's good with cow and gate stick with that x

Following as we’re experiencing similar - we use formula for 1 bottle a day (formula) and he’s had bad constipation x

Not sure if it’s linked but my boy was prem and on special formula in hospital and was fine. We came home switched to aptamil and the constipation was awful, we got changed to another formula due to cows milk allergy and the constipation immediately cleared up x

I have heard lots of good reviews with cow and gate . Tbh my son is not doing well with Aptamil. And I am thinking to switch. Do I need to see a Gp before I change or just change straight away?

My first seemed quite uncomfortable and fussy when given aptamil, we switched to cow and gate and she was fine with that. I don’t think there should be any problem if you switch formula brands

Is it cheating

My husband just told me that at work he and his male friends/coworkers pinch each others nipples as like a joke, I think it’s inappropriate and it’s cheating in a way and he does not agree he thinks it’s just funny and nothings wrong with it

A full 8 hours

My 1 month and five week old newborn just slept 8 hours. I genuinely don’t know who blessed me, but good lord am I thankful. We really only woke up a few times to put her binky back in her mouth. She did just got home from the NICU and adjustment was pretty hard for the past few nights, so she certainly deserves a lot of sleep. Just happy to see her feeling more comfortable.

Baby hates me?

Why does my baby hate me. All she wants from me is to be fed and then screams and screams at me, she settles with everyone else and i don't understand what im doing wrong. I feel like the worst mum ever and am really struggling.

Is nursery a bit out of line?

Today I learned that my son was “seen by someone” when picking him up. Apparently speech therapist saw him in the nursery to evaluate him and I only learned about it on pick up.

No warning, no even proper explanation of what triggered it. With one staff member saying “he is not speaking at all”, and another dismissing it and saying it’s completely normal.

And everyone seem to dismiss my shock as he is the most chatty happiest child at home.

So it triggers me that instead of finding a way to get him “open up” and make him feel secure so he starts speaking naturally. They now decided he needs to be “fixed” and probably push him into more anxiety with it. Without even consulting us.

Witching hour??

Pretty sure my 7 week old has a strict “lose all chill at 6pm” policy 😅

Evenings = crying, pacing, questioning my life choices 😂

Fed, burped, cuddled… still a bit of a mystery. Any tips from mums who survived this stage? How did you get through the evening chaos?!

Too much pram time?

LO is 15 months old. He's not walking yet. We've always gone for 2 walks a day, for about 30-45 mins each. I've found this helps LO's mood and also my own mental health. It's occurring to me that perhaps this is too much "container" time. When we're home, I encourage loads of floor time and he enjoys pulling to stand and cruising on furniture. His only other "container" time is in his high chair 4 times a day for meals, and for about 10 mins at a time when I'm getting his food ready, unless someone else is there to watch him (our flat is small and not open plan).
