Me and my partner went pram shopping today, the women in the shop was talking about lie flat car seats. We’ve both never heard of this and would love peoples opinions and recommendations ☺️

Hi there, we have the maxi cosi pebble 360 pro. It has 3 seat positions and has the swivel and slide in the car seat base. We’ve loved it. I’m sad we are almost out of it tbh lol. It’s been great for when out and about and was compatible with our pram so even better.

I got the Joie lie-flat one. We’re on Raasay so it’s nearly 3h to Inverness including ferry just feel better knowing I can do it in one go if I have to go to hospital or sth (or if baby’s asleep the whole time but that’s the delusion talking lol)

We have the cybex cloud T I-size. Swivels for ease going in and out the car. It has the regular position, a recline position which you can also use in the car then a lie flat position we use if asleep in car seat in house. Clips on to egg pram. We love it have had no issues.

We have a kiddy lie flat seat (no longer made unfortunately). I really liked the lie flat feature for peace of mind for slightly longer journeys, so personally I'd definitely recommend. Still wouldn't use it on the pram mind you, but I know lots of people do.
The new BeSafe Go Beyond looks fab. It reclines in the car (as long as you use the isofix base) but then if you're in an accident it automatically goes more upright to give LO better impact protection. Also has a preemie insert available just in case it's needed, and BeSafe is an excellent car seat brand (we have a few of their bigger seats and absolutely love them). If I could justify a new seat for upcoming arrival then I'd definitely go for that one

I'm a fan. I have the joie i-level and live remotely in the highlands. I definitly felt better using it for those longer journeys.
