Changing from goat to cow formula?

Hey, my baby has been drinking kendamil goat formula for the past 6 months but is about to go into follow on milk. I regretted putting him on the goat milk as they don’t do ready made bottles so it’s very tricky to go out for the day. Has anyone changed from goat to cow formula? I thought since he will be having a new milk anyway it might be they best time to change but I don’t want to upset his stomach :( any advice would be great xx

You don't need to do follow on milk for any milk anyways its just a marketing scam so don't feel like u have to the formulas are barely any different it's just to trick parents into paying more money for longer stage 1 milk in all formulas is suitanle until 1 years old and after that regular cowes milk is fine. However if u do want to change on to Cowes milk formula instead then ur fine to do so. They might have a bit of a tummy ache and potentially constipation or looser stools for a week or 2 just as their tummy gets use to it but it's 100% doable. Introduce it slowly to help ease the change for them so do one bottle one day and then slowly increase the amount of bottles of new formula until you've replaced all bottles. I will add a chart which will explain it better xx

Willow is correct, I'd follow that weaning guide if you want to change his milk anyway but follow on milk is a marketing thing. There's nothing in the formula that changes between stage 1 and stage 2. My cousin got told this by her midwife and HV!

thanks everyone, I appreciate it! I read that follow on milk was much thicker. I was looking to get new Mam teets and it says the 6+ month is for a thicker formula. Prob marketing too? 🙈

Unless ur baby needs to go up a teat size save ur money. If u just watch to switch to Cowes milk formula go for it but keep on same teet if ur baby is satisfied with it x

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🥲

Self settling

Any tips or advice of how to teach 6.5month old to self settle? I’m up multiple times in the night to cuddle her back to sleep and put the dummy in. I understand she will wake up and want a cuddle etc but any tips on self settling would be appreciated 🥰

Hi ya'll

Is anyone else's 4 month old randomly screeching now? I'm not sure what to do and she's been doing this for the past two days. She's usually a quiet happy baby so im not sure why she's doing this now. Aby suggestions?

Baby losing weight

Hi all, it's been a long time since I had a baby (my son is 15!). My daughter is 10 days old and was 9lb born, she has since lost weight at every appointment and is at a 12% loss. I am breast feeding every two hours for over an hour and topping her up every feed. I pump and can get 60ml in 10 minutes so I know my supply is okay. Anyone had this before? Can give me some tips? I currently feel like I'm letting my baby down.
