If I couldn't realistically provide for both children I wouldn't keep it. I wouldn't rely on a man to pay the way for my children.

It's completely up to you. Honestly, resenting a child that didn't ask to be born because you can't afford it is a lot worse than dealing with an abortion. But you have to decide this on your own. It's the kind of thing hearing others opinion on doesn't help. Sending you a hug though. 🤗

rape and consensual sex which obviously this person did is completely different, you can’t even compare the two! If this person can willingly have sex with someone knowing the potential outcome then YES they should keep the baby and accept the consequences of what they did!

it's not the child's fault though, why should they suffer the consequences? This is what you people don't understand. The child didn't ask to be born in poverty to parents who do not want them. Are you going to adopt that child? Or pay for the cost of that child? Unless that is the case you do not have any right to comment on what that person should or shouldn't do.

OP is NOT stupid for asking for insight from others. I agree that the baby should not lose their life out of inconvenience but asking for wisdom is never stupid. It's my experience that the hard times are worth it a million times over, even making it through needing state assistance, a short while of homelessness and building up from scratch when their father left. I've heard so many stories of women who regret having an abortion for the rest of their life. And being a kid who grew up super poor, I'm so thankful that my parents struggled and cared for me so that I could be here and now have my own 5.

Seek other options like adoption and financial resources for single mothers…there are agencies that help moms who can’t afford to have their baby…really research and see what terminating a pregnancy is and what that looks like and the mental, emotional spiritual implications for how that may effect you…in the end it is really up to you but I always encourage life and love and how that life inside of you could bless you or another family…in reality it’s ending a life so that’s something you have to think about and maybe pray on if you want to pray…often times when we feel our back is against the wall we don’t see the light to the way but only darkness
