Everyone keeps saying ‘as soon as you think you have enough, get more!’ Which I know means I need a lot, but how many do I actually need? Want to make sure I’m super prepared! (Breastfeeding ideally if that makes a difference?)

We have 7 in use all the time in different rooms and bag/pram/car plus about the same folded away

I have about 10 but my girl isn’t very sicky so depends on the baby I think

I think it’s about size as well as number. I have really large ones that I mainly use when putting baby down on the carpet at family or friends or on mats at baby classes, medium size ones for putting over my shoulder etc when winding, small ones to have to hand in my handbag or under baby’s head in the pram in case they posset etc. I have 20-30 but partly because we were bought a lot!

Honestly I think 5-10 is enough. We’ve hardly used them with either of our babies.

I’ve got about 40 i use them for a lot of things, under chin for milk, when I breast feed I used a few for my let down on other side every feed as I had heavy flow I had too, if baby wees before get nappy on ect but in saying that I still have about 7ish in a draw that o haven’t reached for since she was born as I use the ones that just been washed I’d say 20 is fine just get ones that are plain and cheap. Get 5 for like 3.50£ instead of Disney ones 3 for 7£ ect xxx

10s a good number, I didn’t use them much at first, then needed them more as she got a bit older

I got loads when I was pregnant then ended up using maybe 2 .. My daughter was never sicky so never needed them x

I have 25 and probably needed 10. Dribble bibs on the other hand we get through 5 a day so at least 20 of those.

I have about 15 but my daughter had really bad reflux in the beginning and I'd go through like 4 a day so probably should've got more but never bothered now I use about 2 a day x

10 is more than enough x

We have 18 normal sized ones and 3 XL ones. I had a very refluxy baby and so started out with 10 but ended up getting more on Vinted as we went though 4+ a day in the first 3 months and I couldn't keep up with the washing. The XL ones we used as blankets for the ground when out and about, and for swaddling in the first 3 months.

My baby didnt need them much so I just bought as I went along, probs have about 15. Also get them in diff. designs/colours so you can tell which day its from 😭 i got a load of white and was just annoying second guessing if it was a recent one or not

We started with 15 and ended up with more like 30.
Now she’s 20m we obviously aren’t using them as we used to day to day, but they’re excellent cleaning cloths, both for her to play ‘cleaning’ and actual cleaning, she uses them as play blankets for her dolls, great as makeshift bibs when eating out and about, wiping hands etc. I used one to make butter the other day 😂
And when she was younger, they were great for burping, sick, thin layers when it was too hot for blankets, extra layer between my arm and my daughter when contact napping to prevent sweaty head…honestly most useful little cloths ever.

We have about 10 regular size ones baby doesn't spit up that much only needed some more when he started teething and drooling everywhere x

On Amazon I found these fleece square cloths, they’re a small size but excellent for when I’m washing my baby, any vomit, catching his pee as they’re very absorbent and dry quick.

I have about 10 in use (bigggg ones) and it's a struggle. I think I need 20 big ones to actually feel like I've got enough without super stressing about washing, ideally 30. I have another 20 ish in storage that I keep nagging my husband to get out.
I'm breastfeeding a baby who does spit up but not majorly sicky

I EBF and use none. Never understood the obsession with muslins personally. Think if your baby is sick a lot they might come in handy but mine aren’t.

I have about 15 and have only ever used 2 of them 😅 my baby wasn’t a sicky baby at all but I have heard of people using them to dry baby’s bum after a nappy change

Honestly, there is never enough.😂

I have a very sicky baby though

I have about 30 which I just don't need but was given quite a few after buying a load. I would have worked with about 15, we go through them pretty quick as bubs is sicky, and I have them scattered everywhere so they're always to hand - changing bag, by bed, in car, in living room plus all the ones in the wash at any one time

I started with 10 and then got 10 more. I have loads spread around the house, so I always have one available, especially where I sit to breastfeed, where he sleeps etc

I breastfed and he was never sicky. Like 5 max lol

I kid you not when I say I have at least 50 and I’ve never ever used them. Breastfeeding as well and my LG has never ever been sick. I use them for cleaning now so that at least they’re going to some use. Not to say don’t get any obviously but don’t go overboard. They’re so easy to get ahold of if you figure out you need more you can order some or pop to a shop and grab some x

Depends very much on the baby. Ours had reflux so we needed LOTS.... About 30 I think 😂 I'd say start with 10-15 and buy more if you get a puker lol.

I have 10 but only used around 6 at a time and even less now she’s older. She’s 6.5m. She’s ebf and never really been a sicky baby

second this! I use them for everything! Burping, spit up, comfort everything !

I used a lot when they’re newborns I got like 30 😂 now she’s 8 months I never use them ever

i have 1 pack of like 6 and that’s all i’ve ever needed tbh, i use 1 or 2 a day and do my washing twice a week and stick them in the wash lol they’re handy but i’ve gotten through 3 months with only 1 pack

Honestly I found they were so overrated. Everyone says they use them but I never used mine, I didn’t breastfeed though but I just tended to use a baby wipe if I needed x

I don't think that many, when you have a baby you are constantly doing washing anyway and muslins dry super quick. I can't remember getting through much more than 3 a day. I mostly used mine on myself for my letdown on the other boob or to hand express a little off into when I was too engorged. My son did spit up when he was little but only a little. When he got older I would use them to wipe his nose as it was more gentle on his face. I now find them really useful for putting inside his wellies when they are wet to dry them out.

We had 3 very large ones that I could use as big cover ups then about 10 regular size ones for day to day. We probably used about 2-3 a day and one or two in wash. They dry really quick

I think it depends! I’m exclusively BF and go through at least 2 a feed as I leak A LOT from the other breast but hate wearing a bra 😆 We have about 20 and need to wash them frequently. Great to wipe up spit up and any food you drop on bubs while eating 🤣 We also use ours in the bath and to put over the nappy changing mat as our baby hates the cold! I would start with 15-20 and get more if you need!

Not everyone needs a lot. My newborn was never sicky we hardly used any. My eldest was always sick and we had loads.

I exclusively breastfeed and I have 9. That seems sufficient to me.

We had 10 she was a sicky baby but never needed loads. Just depends how often you want to do washing. We always had a fresh one in her nappy bag for going out. And probably another two floating around.

I've a reflux baby and mega sick. I used like 10 a week maybe but I do wash twice a week

We didn’t use them that much, you may prefer to use baby wipes or little flannels that you can obviously use to wash baby with aswell and bibs as they get older x

I barely even used mine so depends how much your baby spits up
