Early / reassurance scan

Has anyone had (paid for) an early pregnancy/reassurance scan? Where did you go? Would you recommend?

I am considering to try to reduce some anxieties I have and want to know if all ok. I know so many who have had ectopics or losses that I'm really nervous. And after taking 7 years to get pregnant for this, the first time and at 39, I wonder if this could help.

I didn't get a reassurance scan as such but I paid for an early gender scan with First Encounters. They were brilliant, they took their time with the scan, I came away with loads of pictures, a couple of videos (some packages they do include them), they got the gender correct at 16 weeks, and honestly they provided loads of reassurance that everything was good even though that isn't what it was for.

If you're feeling anxious about it, I couldn't recommend an extra scan more. It really did settle my mind between the nhs ones

I've been to both first encounters and window to the womb for reassurance scans. Can't fault either establishment, however first encounters do not do internal scans only abdominal so depending on how early on you are you might be better off with window to the womb instead.
Personally would reccommend and early scan especially if you are anxious, unfortunately my first reassurance scan did not have a happy ending but I'd rather have known that at 8 weeks than waiting until 12 to find out the same horrible news. Second time round the reassurance scan really helped me feel a little better but after our history the effect didn't last that long!

I found dragon ultrasound in Llantrisant brilliant for my early scan and gender scan, so much cheaper than the rest and they are a lovely team. I’ve also been to window to the womb who were good

I went to window to the womb for a reassurance scan and they were not at all reassuring and not that comforting and didn’t explain much they also told me I needed another scan in a few weekss because things were unclear but I was expected to pay again ultrasound direct on the other hand were amazing so comforting and helpful things were unclear again and they said I needed another scan in a few week which they book in and you are not expected to pay xx

Induction?

Anyone been induced before? Was it more painful? Better than thought? Worse than thought? Worth it? Thoughts?

My daughter‘s name is valentýna and I’m struggling to find other nice girl and boy names beginning with V I’ve got a few and I’ve got loads that aren’t beginning with V, but I feel like I wanna go for all vs and I also love girl and boys names that match so because my daughter’s name is valentýna I would love to call my son Valentino my husband does not agree 😃

Induction or c section?

As a last resort, would you rather be induced or have a planned c section?

Really not liking the thought of being induced from people’s experiences I’ve read!

Almost 37 weeks + told to do another growth scan

I just had my second to last doctor’s appointment this morning, and my OB told me she wants me to do another growth scan because my belly is measuring small. She says it’s probably just because I’m a smaller woman, but they like to be safe. It’s hard to hear though, since I just did one a couple months ago.

I did this with my firstborn around this time of pregnancy, so I do think I just carry smaller (even though I don’t feel like I look “small” at all). My first baby was 6lbs 15oz when she was born at 41 weeks + 2 days. I’m having this baby at 39 weeks on April 7. I hope she’s still at least 6lbs.

Anyone have any stories similar to this?
