My baby is finally learning how to latch properly but I’m learning how to breastfeed. (I was exclusively pumping since he was born)
It’s a learning process but I’m loving the bond we’re building 🥰

I never stopped trying to get him to latch. My milk came in late when he was born so he developed a bottle preference but I kept trying. It’s been 3 months of trying and he’s getting better every time. Some days I gave up and other days even if he latched on for just 10 minutes it was enough for me
So far he’s still not exclusively breastfed but we’re making great progress 🥰
I’m a ftm so this has been a learning process for us.

How often do you breastfeed / pump now he is latching more? I’m currently exclusively pumping but trying to get my baby boy to breastfeed more but sometimes he doesn’t latch properly 😩 so finding I’m only breastfeeding around 3 times a day, and then giving him a bottle the rest of it as he’s hungry (I also pump after he has breastfed to make sure all my milk is gone) any advise on what you are doing would be great! Xxx

Same here! I was EP for the first 5 weeks until we started trying while he was laying on the changing table. Leaning over him there made it way easier to get a good latch than when I tried to hold him. Then once we got the hang of that we tried in a sideline position in bed, and then finally in my arms seated. He nurses mostly now, but I still pump to empty out fully & he gets a bottle 1-2x per day. It's hard to know how much he need now though, and nursing takes so much longer than a bottle
