Mommas of girls! How do you clean in the tiny vulva areas?

i just use a baby wipe but i feel uncomfortable doing it she’s 7 months and im not sure if im doing it right either so im gonna wait for other comments and see if anyone has advice also x

Oh it's so annoying and invasive ! Not to mention sensitive as so vulnerable to infection !

Just dab with wipe wrapped around finger as gently as possibly to get everything & use water everytime really for good clean.

Baby wipe and a wash rag in the bath! Not inside the lips ever as that's self cleaning, but outside the lips totally make sure she's clean!

I give her a little sitz bath. Not the whole body in the water but just the booty.

I don’t use baby wipes. I have thermos with warm water and I saturate a cloth and squirt the excess on their genitals, wipe and then use another dry cloth wipe to pay dry. I find baby wipes don’t clean as well (I only ever need 1 for a huge poop) plus we use so many plus we have to keep buying. I’d rather wash and reuse something that’s more effective lol. Having twins, I can’t imagine how many wipes you’d go through. Just one baby is 22,000 over 3yrs. Double that for twins

I wrap a wipe around my finger and then wipe down with a little bit of pressure. I re-wrap the wipe around my finger in a new area that’s clean and I repeat it until I don’t see anything coming onto the wipe

but what about when poop gets there?

@Deja yes of course!! I was just talking actual bathing for the inside part but of course of course of course always get poop out/off all surfaces to avoid UTIs

I fold the wipe to stick out a little so I can wipe between the lips if that makes sense, I have 2 girls and one of them every time she poop most of it gets in her vulva but she’s chill about me cleaning her, the older one is 2 and since baby is a battle to wipe her I had to do most of the cleaning in the bathtub with water.

I feel so bad pressing my girls in that area. So I either take the diaper off and tuck under her bum and then use a peri bottle to wash in there with warm water, or use the wipe as gently as I can until no more poop shows on the wipe.
I personally think my babies prefers the bidot(idk if that’s how it’s spelled) treatment 😆
