I got a growth scan tomorrow. But were you told measurements of baby at the scan or it was at MDW appointment when they measured your belly ? My first appointment with MDW baby was measuring big then 2 weeks later slow growth so had scan showed it’s all well. But l have another tomorrow just to see how he is. So it could probably be nothing to worry about

If it helps, I was measuring 4 weeks behind at 36 weeks, went for an urgent growth scan and baby was measuring perfectly fine. The tape measure can be very inaccurate especially if baby is lying weirdly or if you had great abs/belly prior to pregnancy x

Was this your midwife measuring you? I had the same, 2 weeks later I got told he was measuring big. Take it with a pinch of salt and look forward to seeing your baby on the scan again x

I had a growth scan at 32 weeks and have been measuring around the 50th percentile the whole time throughout my pregnancy. Went for my 35 week growth scan on Monday and he’s dropped to the 10th percentile so I’m going for an urgent growth scan next Monday as well 😢 they are such a worry aren’t they! Best thing you can do is hold on tight and let them monitor baby as it’s good they are taking precautions. Wait for the results and they will make a plan for you ❤️

This really doesn’t mean something is wrong, please try not to worry. If this scan has come off the back of a bump measurement at a midwife appt, just know that measuring your bump doesn’t fully indicate the size of your baby! I was away for a scan at 24 weeks due to a smaller bump, then again at 28 weeks due to a larger bump - baby was measuring average 50th centile both times, it was just because of his position that my bump measured larger/smaller.
Equally, with my first baby, we had growth scans from 32-38 weeks due to her showing as small and she can at 39 weeks weighing 6lb 9oz so not overly tiny! Some babies are just smaller and that’s fine too! X

my first born (now 3 years old) was measuring small during pregnancy, it was nothing to worry at all! had regular growth scans etc, and he was born at 40 weeks weighing 6lbs 8oz and he was absolutely perfect 🩵 don’t panic beauty. i’m having growth scans for this baby which started bcos of my first measuring small they automatically offered me growth scans, except this one is measuring to be large so on the other end of the scale 🤣 its okay lovely xxx

I got told I was measuring small at around 28 weeks I think? Then had a growth scan and baby is 90th centile and all bump measurement since have also suggested 90th Centile so I would take bump measurements with a pinch of salt!! According to first midwife measurement baby was 9th centile so only a bit off 🙄😂

The measurements have such a margin of error as babies are small anyway. I have been having growth scans throughout and baby went from 17th down to 2nd centile and then up to 48th in a matter of 3 weeks 🤷🏼‍♀️ it's really hard not to worry about it, but try and listen to your body too as that is a great indication of things too x
