I made the heartbreaking decision to end my pregnancy at 24 weeks due to severe fetal abnormalities, just two weeks before Christmas. Since then, I’ve been struggling, especially while caring for my son.
This was my second pregnancy termination. The first time, it was due to T21 and a severe heart malformation. That decision, while incredibly painful, felt “easier” because the baby had no chance of survival.
This time, it was another baby girl. She had a chance at life, but it would have come with significant medical challenges—both physical and mental. That made the decision even harder.
Last week, I lost my job, boss said it was due to company’s financial struggles, which is true, but I know I was also let go because my performance declined after the termination.
I feel stuck—I can’t sleep, I can’t fully enjoy or be present with my son, and I keep worrying that I’ll never find another job or get my career back on track.
For those who have been through something similar, how did you move forward?

Hi Amanda, I've just joined this grouo after sadly having a TFMR last week. I see your post was a few months ago, so I just thought I would see how you are doing? X
