My son is 18 months old and mealtimes have become such a pain in the last couple of weeks! He whinges the entire time, throws his spoon, throws his food, moans for more even when his plate is full, he screams and is just generally unhappy the whole time - it’s making me dread dinners with him! I think he basically just wants snacks. Is anyone else experiencing this? Any tips!? 😩

Ours pushes dinner away and points to the cupboard shouting "snack" 😑
Trying to be patient, model good eating etc but it is hard. Hoping this phase passes quickly.
I find letting her try bits off my plate, showing it is the same and not making a big deal of the rejection can help. She might start eating it but not always. It is hard not getting mad when she shouts and throws stuff but I am trying not to let it get to me (deep breaths).
Also noticed she wants to eat independently not with my help at all. Though messy, letting her lead does seem to help a bit. Good luck
