Hey all , just here for mental support.
This is my second child I have a two year old girl . I’ve been on watch the whole pregnancy due to having a posterior placenta, however at the past two growth scans have bought me nothing but scares.
At my 30 week I was told his femur was at the 10th percentile and I was measuring at 28 weeks ….
Now for my 34 week check up they are telling me his femur is less than 5 percent … and I’m measuring at 32 weeks but they want me to schedule my delivery date between 38-39 weeks ….
I ask questions about why and what’s going on but there are no answers they only keep telling me he is a small baby …. Where as my daughter was in the 90th percentile my whole pregnancy and even stayed passed her due date 🙂↔️.
So now I’m just in a state of panic even though they keep telling me “we aren’t too concerned” but give me no real clarification… nor tell me how I can help or do differently …
At this point I’m just ready to see my son and love on him on the outside . I know I’m doing all that I can but no reassurance certainly isn’t feeling good at all .
Thank you all for just hearing me out !
My next ultrasound is April 10th .
And I need to plan to deliver by May 1st instead of my original due date May 8th

Get a second opinion! Ask for a referral to a fetal maternal medicine specialist or something similar. Less than 5% would absolutely be cause for knowing exactly what’s going on for baby to measure that small. I’m not saying you need to drive yourself crazy with worry, but get the whole picture and a second opinion from a different specialist office.

Wishing the best for your pregnancy! I’ve heard some say the same thing and their babies were absolutely average sized. Why do they want to take him early if he’s small tho? Because the placenta placement?
