5 months old still getting g up every 3-5 hours at night?

Is this normal? Our routine keeps changing g there was a time he would go 7-8 hour but that changed sleep regression
I’m just coming out of that he was waking every 2 hours so happy with the new schedule, but also really exhausted 😩.
Any tip?

Try to really stick to a routine! My daughter is at her 4 month sleep regression and I use to just go to bed whenever and hope that she slept, and she had a really hard time getting and staying sleep. Now I have a routine with her and always do some stimulation time around 8 and tummy time, then give her a bath with toys, obviously she doesn’t play with them because she’s only 4 months but she acknowledges them which is enough 😂, then put some organic sleepy time chest rub on her when she gets out and blow dry her (it’s weird but she loves it and it makes her sleepy) then I put her on her Jammies and feed her while we are in bed by 9:30 and she’s knocked every single time.

do you have a pic of the chest rub?

5 months is when my daughter went through the worst sleep regression I’ve ever seen. Lasted 6 weeks

At that age they are able to recognize routines so it could help him mentally get ready for sleep if you really stick to it.

He is literally a tiny little baby still. Yes it’s normal. I know people with kids who are like 2-3 years old who still wake in the night

thank u!

also have you noticed if he’s started teething yet? My daughter has at not even quite 4 months and has had a hard time falling asleep during the day for naps because of the itchy or painful gums.

My baby is almost 5 months and he’s waking every 3 hours atm, he used to only wake once before sleep regression! It’s better than every hour but I’m still wondering when this regression will end😴😂

Sleep isn't linear and it doesn't regulate until 4-5 years old. This sounds completely normal and unfortunately you just have to go with the flow sometimes. If you do schedules then stick to it and make sure they get enough to eat during the day but that's about all you can do

Totally normal. I'm lucky if I get over 3hrs in a stretch.

Vanilla extract

Has anyone used alcohol free vanilla in their babies formal to help them drink?
I’m 100% sure my baby refuses her bottles as she doesn’t like the taste of it!

Just anxious to try it, don’t want her to get used to it and then refuse bottles again after two weeks of using (correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve read you use it for 2 weeks max)

TIA 🙂

Car seat crying

My 6 month old PANICS the second I put him in a car seat and screams, cries, chokes and recently even projectile vomited on a 14 minute drive. It’s gotten to the point I don’t even bring him out unless it’s to a doctors appointment. I’m a stay at home mom with no family in my state and it has been very isolating. We’ve tried 3 different car seats with no improvement. Has anyone had a baby who hated the car seat? Any advice? This started at 3 months. I will add it does seem worse when he’s tired. He does cry on every trip though. He only contact naps and co sleeps so he reaches for me and will not sleep in the car seat.

Sex post C section

Hi ladies I’m 4 weeks 5 days postpartum and I had a C section. I’m not bleeding properly anymore just some brownish discharge stuff that starts on and off. I’d like to do the deed with my partner; is it okay to do so or shall I wait the full 6 weeks. I feel up for it but also worried because the advice is 6-8 weeks.

When did you circumcise your baby?
If you DID NOT or DO NOT have a circumcised son DO NOT comment this post is not for you!

Did you wait a certain amount of time or have it done immediately?
Again respectfully, this is only for the parents who choose to do so.
opinions about how not necessary it is will not be appropriate for this post. Thank you in advance. 🩵
