I’m 30 weeks pregnant and this is my second pregnancy. I’m having Braxton hicks every time I stand up and it’s painful on the right side. I called my doctor but it’s Saturday and it’s saying they have someone to talk to if it is an emergency. Is this an emergency? I’m not sure what to do.

what does braxton hicks feel like i woke with really bad stomach pain im a first time mom

Is it a tightness in your belly and the pain? Or just the pain?
If you sit back down change positions or walk does it go away?

your stomach gets really hard and tight. It’s your uterus contracting. I had them when I was pregnant with my daughter and they were never painful. Just a little uncomfortable sometimes.

okay that’s what i’m dealing with right now and i don’t know what to do either

Braxton hicks will be a tightness in your belly it’ll get hard like a rock and you can feel the tightness and sometimes pain but no consistency to them and they do not get stronger as contractions do they are your body’s way of preparing for birth

I am probably going to go to the er just to be safe. Can you feel your baby moving still? I can feel my son moving but you just never know,

yes i can feel my daughter moving

I am 28 weeks and when I took my toddler on a long walk yesterday I had painful Braxton hicks on my right side. It went away when I was able to sit down. The pain could be because it’s the Braxton hicks with the round ligament pain. But still ask your doctor.

I looked it up, and it says online that Braxton hicks can make your round pigment pain worse and it is more common on the right side. But always be safe to check with your doctor.

I’m having the exact same pain at 28 weeks. Did you end up going to the ER? If so what did they say?
