1st birthday party🎉

We’re starting to think about baby’s first birthday party. I am curious to see people’s budget. Please comment what your budget includes. We will have a garden party. Decorations are currently coming in around £150 on Amazon and shein which is a lot more costly than I anticipated. I know it’s early but my maternity pay is now dwindling so planning ahead is important.

I don’t have a budget but I want to spend as little as possible. Definitely buying decor on shein, MIL will do the cake. Will cater in house & keep it to just family

thanks for commenting. Yes, I was thinking at home with home done catering too. Although we both have large families. I want a backdrop for pictures which is almost £30 and a themed piñata which is £20 🤯 i am shocked about the price of those two items. I’ll look more but truthfully they match the theme and I still want it to be pretty / special so not sure if I’ll find cheaper?

I’m doing a berry first bday theme, I got some on vinted so depending on what theme you are going for have a search. I then got the rest of Temu and that’s £32. We’re also doing a garden party, I’ll prob just get a cake and I should be done. Luckily my family between us will all bring bits of food and drinks as that’s the norm for us.

My theme is wild one… my LB can’t stay still for more than a second & climbs on everything

girl I love you! I just checked Temu and there’s a backdrop similar to the one I was looking at for less than a tenner. Thank you!! That’s such a cute theme. We’re going to do a space theme 🚀. Love that your families bringing things, that helps ease potential pressure.

Hospital bag (UK)

What did everyone pack for their section? I'm staying in for 3 days due to mental health, not really sure what I'll need to bring, feeling very nervous. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Pregnancy after c section

What time scale did everyone get pregnant again after a c section?
I know the doc said they recommend eating at least a year to 18 months but it took 4 years to get pregnant the first time after being told we could not conceive naturally so not wanting to stop it happening knowing it could take a very long time again but also worried.

Labour

Think im a bit confused really, i went into traige as was having contractions eveey 3-5mins. Since being here im now having them every 2-3mins which was confirmed with the machine and i think the toco was 90-100 and they feel painful and my lower back is in loads of pain but apparently im only just over 2cm dilated maybe, she has said i can stay here for a bit longer to see if things progress as had a previous quick birth as well but i dont understand why the pains are coming this quick if im only 2cm dilated and feel a bit deflated from it also.

I had a sweep this morning also.
