Hi. I had an early scan today at 6 weeks. There no embryo to be seen but everything’s looking how it should be at this early on, cervix are closed etc. I’ve to go back in 2 weeks to make sure that I was just too early for my scan. I hope it’s not the worst outcome and that’s losing it. I came home and done a test and it came up positive after seconds. I’ve been light spotting but nothing dramatic. Has anyone had the same or got advice ? I’ve attached a photo of what I seen today which I was told is the yolk sac. Thank you x

Yeah happened to me i had a bleed when i was around 6 weeks (so i thought) it was a good bit too when i went to be scanned they saw nothing at all the next week only saw an empty sac the following week is when i saw a small blob and heartbeat shes now 4 weeks old i will keep everything crossed for you x

I bled pat around 6weeks+3 quite a lot of heavy red blood I had a scan there was a sack and fetal heart beat present
Was consistent with my dates my little girl is now 13 weeks old
The doctor did say that he didn’t see any reason for the bleeding but it could be hormonal changes

thanks girls feel more reassured from reading your stories. It’s just crazy to me it looks like a little baby on the scan but to them it’s not yet x

Hospital bag (UK)

What did everyone pack for their section? I'm staying in for 3 days due to mental health, not really sure what I'll need to bring, feeling very nervous. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Pregnancy after c section

What time scale did everyone get pregnant again after a c section?
I know the doc said they recommend eating at least a year to 18 months but it took 4 years to get pregnant the first time after being told we could not conceive naturally so not wanting to stop it happening knowing it could take a very long time again but also worried.

Labour

Think im a bit confused really, i went into traige as was having contractions eveey 3-5mins. Since being here im now having them every 2-3mins which was confirmed with the machine and i think the toco was 90-100 and they feel painful and my lower back is in loads of pain but apparently im only just over 2cm dilated maybe, she has said i can stay here for a bit longer to see if things progress as had a previous quick birth as well but i dont understand why the pains are coming this quick if im only 2cm dilated and feel a bit deflated from it also.

I had a sweep this morning also.

Reduced movements

26 weeks and haven’t really felt little baby all day, she’s usually super active & I have a posterior placenta so I feel her all the time usually. I did feel her ever so briefly earlier right down into my pelvis. I was at maternity triage the other night with tummy cramps but everything was fine and so was baby. What should I do? I don’t want to feel like a nuisance?

Eid celebrations?

Is it normal to celebrate Eid by drinking alcohol and partying non stop … doesn’t that just go against the whole month of Ramadan im so confused

Ways to induce labor naturally

Hi All! FTM, Entering week 40 and no signs of labor, no dilation yet. Please share tips and ways to induce natural labor. Induction is already scheduled on week 41 but don’t want to go through that process.
