Christmas Babies🎄🎄🎄

I had my 2024 Christmas baby a few months ago and was just wondering- others with children born on Christmas Day when do you celebrate their birthday? Do you do it on Christmas Day or an alternative day? Thinking far ahead but so excited already to have a super special Christmas time! Thank you x

My cousin is a Christmas day baby she celebrates her birthday on Christmas eve. Also never lump Christmas presents and birthday presents together always make it a separate thing c

My husband's birthday is Christmas day, he said he wishes that his had been celebrated on 25th June because he never got the same number of presents for birthday and Christmas combined as any of his brothers and as an adult no-one remembers it, but they expect him to make a big deal of their birthday's.

It could just be the way his family handled it, but he now isn't bothered about his birthday at all, and doesn't understand why people want birthday cakes etc.

I obviously make a big thing of it, and we do birthday presents for him as a separate thing to Christmas presents, but it's definitely a difficult thing to balance and I don't envy you for having to figure it out for your newborn.

If you do go for doing it at Christmas time then make sure that you get birthday paper for wrapping the birthday presents, don't use Xmas wrapping paper.

I’ve seen a few people say they’ve done birthday in the morning and Christmas in the afternoon or vice versa xx

My baby was born on Christmas eve 2024! And we are planning to probably celebrate it once with her school friends before they break for the holidays and 24th again with family

We did a half birthday for our winter baby (november birthday) for the first few years to get outdoor summertime toys and activities as it just made more sense. Our second is 27th December so we will do half birthday, Christmas presents, and 1 gift on his birthday + a day out on his actual birthday

My niece is a Christmas Day baby and she celebrates it on her estimated due date which is 21st December

I had my baby 12 days before Christmas

My little girl is a Christmas Day baby (2022) and we do a half birthday celebration (June 25th) and then another celebration in December either a few days before or after her actual birthday with friends and family. Then on Christmas Day we split the day in half, making sure she gets to celebrate them both. Her bedroom has birthday decorations etc for when she wakes up and downstairs has the Christmas decorations/stockings. We also always separate wrapping paper (and I made sure others do this too) and just really make sure she feels special and loves her birthday and also enjoys the magic of Christmas! I tell her that her birthday is super special as it’s always a really happy time of year💛

Induction?

Anyone been induced before? Was it more painful? Better than thought? Worse than thought? Worth it? Thoughts?

Induction or c section?

As a last resort, would you rather be induced or have a planned c section?

Really not liking the thought of being induced from people’s experiences I’ve read!

C section or natural?

I am a control freak and thinking c section is the least stressful route for me and baby… less complications during labour etc. whilst acknowledging recovering can be hard.
If it could be guaranteed no tearing or complications then I would opt for natural and kind of want to experience the feeling.
Then again could plan and go either way 😂 arghh!
Anyone else in this predicament?

Homebirth?

I am thinking I want a homebirth (second baby) for a few different reasons but my husband is very against it, he is worried about things going wrong and we are a 30 minute drive from the hospital. Has anyone been in a similar position and what did you end up doing? Any advice? 🙏
