Hi everyone,
Wondered if anyone had any good tricks for helping with awful nausea?
I’m almost 11 weeks and have felt nauseous since about week 3/4 .. nothing helps except the anti sickness I was prescribed but that makes me so drowsy and tired, so can’t take that during the day at all.
I’m just not enjoying the first trimester at all with the all day nausea 😭😭
Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated!

Honestly nothing really helped me I had to use the anti sickness 😩 i tried the ginger etc just try and have small regular plain meals I literally lived off jacket potatoes toast and rich teas. I had lucozade orange the flat one most mornings to help xxx

Try Dramamine… might help! The wrist patches too might also. I was throwing up until I was 28 weeks. When you do feel good. Get your protein and carbs up and drink a couple liquid IVS! Sodium and potassium will really help keep you hydrated - dehydration can lead to nausea

Water with ice cubes and squeeze fresh lemon into the water. I swear by it

With my first I sadly had nausea from start to end and I found have 6 small meals a day rather than 3 worked really well! Basically never having an empty or completely full stomach!
I also constantly had to remind myself that they say feeling nausea means you pregnancy is going really well- which kinda helped as well! Xxx

Food besides my bed before I started to move and acupuncture bracelets

I'm coming up to 8 weeks, and on some days, I can't keep much down. Others, it's just nausea🥲

I was so bad it finally eased around 14/16 weeks but I did have to use the anti sickness otherwise I couldn’t keep anything down it was horrible 😩 I couldn’t have a cuppa anymore I was so put off by them, keep stuff at your bedside I just used to nibble digestives or rich teas throughout the night xx

@Kayleigh, this sounds so similar, I've not had decaff coffee for weeks (changed to it pre-NY)...I'm barely eating chocolate! For me, that's just shocking as I'm addicted🤣 xx

Oh bless you 😢 I’ve been the same and anti sickness make me SO tired so it’s really hard at work especially. I find mango ice lollies are easiest to go down and apple! Raw veggies like tomato cucumber and carrots. Only foods that don’t make me wanna gag 😫

honestly the chocolate will come back with full force that’s all I want in my 3rd trimester now! I’m dairy intolerant but haven’t had any side effects since being pregnant which has been great it just won’t be when he’s here aha xx

Haha @Kayleigh I'm also intolerant, but tend to risk it with chocolate. I just bought an Easter egg in preparation for the day I can enjoy it again. Realistically, I needed something to stop me eating it...my intake was probably out of hand🤣

Toast as soon as I wake up even if not hungry. Diet Coke settles my stomach short term if particularly bad. Lots of icy water (again, settles at least short term). I do think taking Vitamin B6 has helped as I can now survive a day whereas at about 5.5 to 7.5 weeks I couldn't. At my worst ginger did help (ginger tea, ginger chews) although now I associate it with the worst time so can't go near it 😂
