My baby is 7 weeks old. She barely sleeps at night (will do around 2.5hours, then up for hours, then might do another 1.5hours if we're lucky but might not). She also doesn't nap during the day. She might do the odd 10 minutes, but will only go for longer if she is sleeping upright on us. She has terrible reflux and during the night is straining and shouting and pushing almost constantly. Has anyone else had this? When does it end? Surely she can't just never sleep at all? It's been like this since she came out of the sleepy newborn stage at around 3 weeks

Have you tried a thicker milk/milk thickener for her reflux or medication?
Unfortunately until you manage to get reasonably on top of the reflux it may be a vicious circle of her being overtired.
I had a reflux baby who was formula fed and we switched to the anti reflux milk around 6 weeks and he was a completely different baby!
If you have a next to me tilt it so the feet are lower as this will massively help and keep upright for at least 20 minutes after every feed.
My LO fell asleep on my chest and his sweetspot for moving to the next to me was 18 minutes.
Also keep nighttime consistent. Dim lights and very quiet so she doesn't have anything to feed off.
It's really hard when you are in the trenches but keep going you will get there x
@Maddi was all the nighttime discomfort reflux for yours then? Straining and shouting etc? We went back to the GP and they've now prescribed gaviscon as she was bringing up nearly entire feeds, so hoping that helps her

Yes he had silent reflux so when he was laid down it was horrific until we worked it out x
