She currently does either a late breakfast or lunch. Sometimes try to introduce 2 meals a day but it’s quite overwhelming for me more so her and she’s recovering from a cold so her milk intake has been all over the place on top of the fact that it naturally is less when introducing food
If anyone can suggest any quick and easy meals to make for a 7 month old pls we don’t have a tonne of freezer space which is gutting so it’s hard to batch make things 😭

At 7 months old I wouldn't worry about more than 1 meal. They're still exploring textures. My little girl loves her food and it was easy to increase to 2/3 meals a day with her. Now she's 11 months old and we just give her a bit of our food. Pesto pasta with tomatoes is a current favourite of hers

To be honest we pretty much jumped straight in at 3 meals because she eats with us and has the same food as us, I don't make her anything special.

My 7 month old hates us to be eating without him so he has 3 “meals” a day unless he sleeps through lunch.
My eldest wasn’t as interested when we were eating so we built up from breakfast to breakfast and early dinner and then a lunch when it fitted with his naps.
Go with your baby at this age I’d say!

It massively depends on your child how they have taken to weaning? If she gobbling down a meal I would move on to another one. My first took to it so fast he was on 3 meals by 7 months. My other son took ages to get it - he was more 10months.
I’d suggest getting your self some recipe books so you’re not having to come up with ideas all the time. The Ella’s kitchen one is fab. Or what mummy makes.

we make curries and rice sometimes. Can a baby take spice and seasonings like that?

what do you do with spicy foods? Or food with salt too? And how much did your little ones feed drop by how much

@Zarah we do a korma if we do curry just so we don't have yucky poos. She's had a mild chilli a few times too and had nicked spicier foods off our plate. I'd say start mild before doing things like peri peri spicy

make sure not to give them anything with extra salt and they should have hot spice but they can have flavours like cumin, Garam masala etc so you can make your food then before adding salt or chilli take a portion out for baby without that

we don't make things spicy, but use seasonings like cumin, mild curry powder and herbs etc, but no chilli.
Sometimes I will use a very low salt stock cube in things but I don't add salt to her food otherwise, especially and things for lunch like cheese, bread etc usually have some, so I don't add any to our meals.

We did 1 meal until 8 months and then moved from 2-3 at 9 months.
