Hi all, I am 18wks 4 days . Me and my partner had sex this morning and when I wiped there was a tiny amount of blood on the tissue. I went the toilet again before and again wiped and a little blood. Should I be concerned?

I would always say get it checked out but probably no need to be concerned. You might have a cervical ectropion which bleeds on contact, but won’t affect your pregnancy. But you can’t know until you get it looked at - maybe check in with your midwife?

I rang the maternity ward hun, they said it’s extremely common and won’t be anything to worry about but to keep my eye on it and if it gets worse to ring them again or go down but seems to stopped now xx

Then you’re probably all good :) fingers crossed you don’t get anymore!

If it continues or becomes heavier get it checked but spotting is very normal.
I was diagnosed with cervical ectropian at 13weeks when I woke with a heavy bleed, have had several light amounts since, a quick internal will diagnose, doesn't affect baby just means your alittle more uncomfortable and panicking 😂
My midwife said regardless of ectropian that small blood after sex is very common because your insides are much softer and delicate now.

Period like cramps

Hi
I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and I keep getting period like cramps I thought these were Brixton hicks but I’ve heard they only last 30 seconds ish as this can go on for a good time frame then go away and come back, they aren’t bad enough where I can’t do basic things they just feel like I’m about to get my period I’m jus wondering how normal this is? Baby is still very actively kicking xx

C section or natural?

I am a control freak and thinking c section is the least stressful route for me and baby… less complications during labour etc. whilst acknowledging recovering can be hard.
If it could be guaranteed no tearing or complications then I would opt for natural and kind of want to experience the feeling.
Then again could plan and go either way 😂 arghh!
Anyone else in this predicament?

Midwife check

Can someone remind me when the midwife visits you at home? Is it the day after you’re discharged? And is that the same on the weekend or do they not visit then? Thanks!
