Desperate for helpful suggestions!

Mum to 10 day old baby boy and I keep having to change his whole sleep suit/vest because of him having a wee when I take the nappy off. I understand this is common but hoping people could offer suggestions that have helped avoid this problem and he hates getting undressed!
I've tried putting a wipe over it but it just goes down the sides.

I use puppy pads under my LB and use a small flannel type towel over the penis when changing.
Also rub a wet wipe under the belly button before taking nappy off to encourage the wee 1st as it's often the fresh air and change in temp that triggers the wee

What I did was use a wet wipe on the bottom of my sons tummy before completely removing the nappy. Always encouraged him to wee before the nappy was even off was a massive lifesaver xx

Before taking the wet diaper off, swipe a cold wipe under the band of the diaper and wait a minute. That should make him pee so it decreases the chance of him peeing again after you take the diaper off.

I used to get a warm thick or folded muslin cloth and put it on him, when it’s exposed to the air it triggers them to wee. Another way was to use a wet wipe across his lower abdomen (right above his groin) to make him wee before taking his nappy off, try that and blow air towards it too (to help trigger the wee reflex) and just keep his nappy in place until you know he’s had another wee.

It’s a nightmare but this bit does pass.

I did the wet wipe on tummy waited and then had a baby wash cloth ready to place on top of his peepee like a tent just in case 😅

First I would undo bodysuit and sleepsuit and tuck it right under him so that if he did wee it would hopefully miss the clothing. Then I would undo the nappy and expose it to the cold air for a few seconds and this would encourage him to wee. Just hold it in place a few centimetres from his body and then hopefully it would all be caught in the nappy he already had on. Then put the new nappy under the old one and slide the old one from under him so if he did still need to wee it would go straight into the new nappy x

When you take off the diaper, if you see that he is “hard” it means he’s about to pee so that’s a sign you need to keep the diaper for another minute or so and try again after. If he’s soft you’re good

Don’t take off the diaper straight away. Unhook it, open it, close it back up for another 30secs so he’s peeing in the diaper. After a minute and after he pees then change it. I didn’t use wetwipes I used cloth wipes so just opening and closing the diaper worked for me.

Thanks all for your suggestions! 🥰

i used to take the front part of the nappy off and let air get at him and then after about 30 seconds cover him back up with the same nappy and he peed and then clean and change xx

Wdy think of this for a toddler to learn word construction?

I'm open to anything else to start teaching him to read and write. He's 3!

Do men really enjoy fellatio?

Been together more than 10 years, but it's been a while since he even seemed remotely interested in me getting on my knees, or vice versa so to speak. I think it was once last year. Must be something I am doing wrong 🤔. Generally everything else in that department is great and we have two young kids with no extra support, so it's quite surprising we can't keep our hands off each other but may need to try new things. It's basically 2 positions each time with some foreplay.

Vanilla extract

Has anyone used alcohol free vanilla in their babies formal to help them drink?
I’m 100% sure my baby refuses her bottles as she doesn’t like the taste of it!

Just anxious to try it, don’t want her to get used to it and then refuse bottles again after two weeks of using (correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve read you use it for 2 weeks max)

TIA 🙂

Car seat crying

My 6 month old PANICS the second I put him in a car seat and screams, cries, chokes and recently even projectile vomited on a 14 minute drive. It’s gotten to the point I don’t even bring him out unless it’s to a doctors appointment. I’m a stay at home mom with no family in my state and it has been very isolating. We’ve tried 3 different car seats with no improvement. Has anyone had a baby who hated the car seat? Any advice? This started at 3 months. I will add it does seem worse when he’s tired. He does cry on every trip though. He only contact naps and co sleeps so he reaches for me and will not sleep in the car seat.

Sex post C section

Hi ladies I’m 4 weeks 5 days postpartum and I had a C section. I’m not bleeding properly anymore just some brownish discharge stuff that starts on and off. I’d like to do the deed with my partner; is it okay to do so or shall I wait the full 6 weeks. I feel up for it but also worried because the advice is 6-8 weeks.

Naps

How is everyone doing for naps?

Little one is 9 months old and will have 2 half hour naps and one solid 1 hour - 2 hour nap a day

Then settles for night around 9pm. Wakes for a feed around 3:30 then sleeps until 6-7
