Leaky nappy and side sleepers

Some please say they have cracked a solution for side sleeping baby who’s nappy leaks bloody constantly!! The last two weeks my 6 month old ha decided he’s a big big fan of side sleeping. However….every single nappy at night he leaks through, I’ve tried sizing up, sizing down, pull ups, normal nappies, two pull ups at once…nothing seems to be helping and I’m exhausted it’s 4 am and I’ve just changed my 6th outfit and nappy of the night 🙃🙃

Have you tried reusable nappies? You could just do nights if you wanted to. My baby was leaking through disposables all the time so I had to dig mine out and use them again from my first because they are so much better than disposables. I'd recommend seeing if there is a nappy library near you where you could go and I'm sure they'd have recommendations of what is best for a side sleeper.

Size up in vests and / or sleepsuits - the poppers cause compression leaks x

Have you tried different bands of nappies? I find that Tescos tend to leak but lidls are great because they have a more snug fit near the thighs and the rascals nappies are really good x

My boy is normally in size 3, but at night I put him in a size 4 pull up pampers x

I’ve tried so many different kinds, currently he goes in a 5+ Fred and flo nappy and a size 5 Aldi pull up on top 🤦🏻‍♀️😂 seems to be the only way to stop the leaks xx

Antibiotics and breast milk.

Has anyone taken antibiotics and noticed that it has affected their breast milk? I have been on antibiotics for a week (4 a day) and every time my baby has breast milk she is immediately sick afterwards and cranky. (This was never an issue before being on antibiotics), so I have been pumping and pouring away my milk (which is soul destroying) until I finish the tablets. She has been having formula instead and isn’t being sick with that at all and seems much more settled.

AITA

So my due date is in 10 days but obvs we don’t know when the baby will actually come. Anyway, my SIL is also pregnant (after 10 years of infertility) and I am so happy for her when I found out because the doctors had said they may never conceive. So she has her gender reveal on the 26th of April (which would be almost 2 weeks after due date) in either case I wouldn’t feel comfortable attending while newly postpartum and with a newborn baby where there will be lots of people I don’t even know, I said to my husband he should go just with my daughter, which he agreed but mentioned she might feel a certain way. I mean she needs to sort of be understandable, I just don’t want to put my baby at risk, and after I gave birth last time I made myself very unwell thinking I’m okay to go out and about earlier than I should. On top of this, she shouldn’t feel a certain way because in our culture it is crucial for the mum and baby to not leave the house for 40 days, and she knows this. Anyway I don’t think I’m being an Asshole, I just don’t want to put my baby at risk and especially because people from my country don’t know boundaries when it comes to babies (kissing them, holding them, passing them around)

6 month sleep regression?

Hey mums!!

My daughter is 6m old and her sleep has completely been thrown off for the last week! Before now she would sleep from 6:30pm - 5am have a bottle and then go to sleep until about 7:30am (sometimes sleeping all night) and suddenly now, she’s up every 2/3 hours!

We were “warned” about the 4 month sleep regression but never experienced that as my daughter has always been a great sleeper (something that we don’t take for granted) but haven’t heard of them going through a 6 month sleep regression - I am wondering if anyone else’s LO has gone through the same thing?

I’m keeping to routine, so nothing has changed and she’s very happy in herself - I guess it’s one of these things 🩷

Travel pram

Has anyone used any of these prams? I want to make sure the seat sits upright fully and isn’t really flimsy that my son could fall out but I know these are cheaper prams as I can’t afford a lot so keep looking on marketplace etc
