Preteen/period starter pack?!

My daughter is 10 and going through puberty. I feel like she’s going to start her period soon and we have had all the talks but aside from pads, wipes, heating pads, pain meds, not sure what do get her to prepare. It’s been a min since I first got my period lol. I want to put together a cute little care basket for her for it so she feels supported the most. Any ideas on how and what I should add?

I got my daughter a small purse for her backpack so she can discreetly take pads or a change of underwear to the bathroom, if needed. I also have a ziploc bag in the purse in case there's anything that needs to be sealed up until it can come home for washing.

Same as Marissa.

Following because I think my 10yo is also about to start 😩

The dollar tree has a starter pack with always brand and Tampax and is literally for kids their age. I just happened to see it there the other day and grabbed one for my daughter.

Also, why are they starting so young! 10 is crazy lol. What are the signs they are about to start?

@Ann 6?!?! Omg! The mini bag is cute idea!

Yes the tiny backpacks are cute and there are lots of different designs on Amazon. next year in middle school kids can bring a small purse and she is excited about that.

To answer who said why are they starting so young. When my daughter started at school everyone freak out sent her to ER called DCF and police and it was a very short time waiting in the waiting room which usually takes forever because of everything but when the doctor came in he said all was good and healthy but many kids now days are starting as early as 5 due to all the hormones they ingest in all these different kinds of food now days and it's not uncommon for them to start early and he explained over the years they have slowly and slowly started earlier and it's because of the hormones in almost everything you buy do it. So I then started to buy more organic foods and I thought we were eating good food but you be surprised and even what you think is healthy food was inside it that isn't listed on the package. But that is what a doctor and some research told me on why they are starting so young. Not sure if it's totally true but it can be a factor at least. Hope this helps.

When my oldest was at this point I made her a little care package. Like her favorite chips and candy and drink she loved it cause she got to snack while cuddling a heating pad

Aww, i made my girls a care bag as well. Threw in some pads' wipes, cute stickers, a sweet chocolate treat, and extra garments just in case. I've also had a talk with them a thousand times. My mom told me horror stories about how her mom never spoke about it, and when it happened to her, she pulled a carrie and thought she was literally dying. 😅 I was like, yeah, my girls will not be going through that. Lol 😂 so we spoke about it often.
