Just went through this! I didn't intervene for a while, to see if he would settle on his belly without me going in there- and he did. He would cry for a bit, then fall back asleep, then wake up a few hours later, repeat. But I never had to go in there, and by day 3 he stopped being upset and liked it. Within a few weeks, he now rolls both ways. With my first, if he wouldn't settle on his belly, I would go in, flip him, leave. But if your baby did that over and over again, I actually wouldn't flip again- just comfort them from the crib on their tummy, but not pick them up.
