Hospital appointment and naps…

My little one has a hospital appointment on Monday (undescended testicle 😭😭) it’s at 11.10 and is an hour away from home. What would you do about naps, I’m after some advice. Should I just hope he gets seen on time and stretch him a bit longer for his nap or should I wake him up earlier so the nap is earlier? I might be over complicating this but I don’t want a screaming baby at an already stressful appointment xxx

I’d probably wake earlier and make sure he gets a good nap in before the appointment

Would he sleep in the car on the way there?

I would just go woth the flow, keep it as normal. You may wake him early, make him nap and then they run late at the hospital and he is cranky. Don't add more stress

@A.R. It’s in central London so I’ll have to get the tube which was part of my quandary! As he does NOT like the tube or his ear defenders!! Xx

Ah right I get you. I’m not sure there’s much you can do maybe try adjust his wake times so he can nap before but it might just be a go with the flow imperfect day and that’s okay too

We live in Great Ormond Street for our little girl and we find anyone dealing with babies is super flexible too! We’ve had days where they’ve seen someone before us so that I could finish a nap and get a feed in and last time she had a nap in the middle of the appointment on me 🤣 I wouldn’t worry too much - they will totally make sure it works for you!
