Pelvic organ prolapse and pelvic floor physio

I had a natural delivery and this was my first baby and I’m 100% sure I have pelvic organ prolapse, definitely my bowel but I think maybe my bladder as well. I haven’t had it seen but I mentioned it at my postnatal check and the doctor just said to see what it’s like in 6 months. It’s been 9 months and all though it’s not really symptomatic on a day to day basis, I can really feel it after running and I had really wanted to train for a marathon but after a longer run it feels like my organs are going to fall out of my body. I’m really really upset as I feel like my body is broken and I will never be able to do the things I love again. Has anyone else had a pelvic organ prolapse and started running again, or had pelvic floor physio on the NHS and give some insight? I have just had a referral from my gp but worried the wait time is going to be crazy long. Just feeling very very down about it

Not personal experience but my mum had this after my brother. She was a higher level prolapse and she ended up having an operation, but went private for it. She couldn’t lift anything heavier than a Hoover for 2 years. I’ve had pelvic floor physio on the NHS because of my hostipal stay after birth. She saw me, gave me exercises to do and then came back retested me and changed the exercises, before seeing her a 3rd time, then I was discharged, but welcome to self refer straight away if I wanted to see them in the next 3 months.

Pay privately for a Mummy MOT to look at your pelvic floor and in the mean time maybe try doing kegels every day to help.. I would DEFINITELY not run until you know the full extent of the problem as that is high impact and could make things worse
