What side do you prefer to breastfeed on ?

me and baby preferred left from the beginning and now my right one is dried up and we’ve been feeding left only for over a year now but it’s worked thank God!! lol the size difference between the 2 is just interesting 😂

omg that has been my fear! I prefer left but try to get used to my right so it doesn’t dry up 😭 feeding on the right is absolutely exhausting. Feel like I can’t get comfortable on that side

Lol at god loves me-both😂😂😂 if im laying down - neither! But if im sitting then left side; i think its just easier because im right handed so my dominant hand is free to do whatever else i need to!

yupppp definitely learn from my mistake and keep trying the right as often as possible or add a haakaa to it at least lol my baby was actually refusing the right side so i couldn’t feed him on that side without him screaming and refusing even though i tried everything lol

I feed equally on both sides despite this, but 9 months in she Still just doesn’t latch quite right on the right side and it always hurts a bit. On the left it’s like naturally easy and I can feel the milk flowing

Adding to the choir. Left is easiest and most comfortable for both of us. I feed from both equally, though. Each feed is an opposite side. I feel clunky and baby doesn't sit right for some reason on my right. Baby #4 and this has been true for all of them. I also carry my babies and toddlers on my left side easier. I'm right handed, so I've always attributed the ease to having my dominant hand free for all the things.

He’s on both sometimes he’s picky on which one to sleep on

Babies will typically prefer the first breast they latched on. Both of my kids were like that.

All y’all preferring left boob are you left handed or right? I’m a lefty but right has been my power boob since day 1!

I can still nurse a little with my left but when pumping left maybe produces 1 oz and right can produce 5oz+

I'm right handed, so that holds true for me as well.

The right because my left nipple is inverted so it was a lot easier for my son to latch. Made the mistake of primarily using the right and it would get sucked dry a lot quicker 😂

It’s easiest for me to feed from the right, but it’s easier for her to latch on the left

I think it’s more important to swap equally so it would be irrelevant to ask which side w that being said imo

defo makes sense! I fed my LO on my left first but only because it’s the easiest 😭

I’m right handed. I hear you, my right produces less than my left when pumping lol I’m trying to fix it by pumping every time I feed but lord have mercy! There isn’t enough time to get the pump and put it in place before bubba starts crying to be fed ASAP

it is true though, if they find both comfortable then they really are gods favourites!
I’m the same, I hate feeding laying down. It’s super uncomfortable and I feel like it stretches the skin more

Sitting in my armchair - right (the tv is on my right so I bring my knee up to help prop my arm up)
Laying on the sofa - left (the back of the sofa is that side so again helps prop that arm up)
Side laying to sleep - now right but used to be left (in our bed the left is in the middle so it was easier to roll over to transfer to the crib, now her floor bed I find it easier with the open side behind me and her closest to the wall)
Sitting in most chairs, ie at a restaurant etc, or while eating then left usually (so I can use my right hand to eat)

This is with a 14mo though, at the start I'd say probably left but it's definitely taken a lot of blood, sweat and tears to get to this point!! She had a tongue tie that wasn't found until nearly 12w and wasn't cut until 4mo.
Now the challenge is stopping her doing all sorts of yoga moves while still attached!
