Baby never happy!

Anyone else feel like their baby is never happy when awake? I’d say an hour out of the day in chunks she’s happy, other than that she fights sleep, moans, cries or is being fed! Just feel like I’m always anxious or on edge when she’s happy for 5-10 mins that she’s about to turn 😩😩😩

My daughter was like this - turns out she had an undiagnosed tongue tie and allergies to dairy and soya. She became a different child once they were sorted!

That’s so sad!! Don’t get me wrong my daughter isn’t screaming or anything, she’s just really bad with fighting sleep, and gets over tired so easily 😩 just feel so bad she isn’t a happy baby like my first was 😓

Yes I feel like this! I feel like he's always crying when he's awake expect from maybe one wake up for like 10 minutes. Only really content once changed, fed and asleep most of the time😅

I’m feeling exactly the same today 😞 she fights sleep so bad just lately and has been so unhappy these last few days. I thought it was just me so it makes me feel slightly better that im not alone 😊x

yes i made a post exactly like this yesterday, feels good being in solitude huh 🤣 it’s exhausting truly xx

Oh we said this the other day, I said I feel guilty as I’m then desperately rocking him trying to get him to sleep as he seems sad when he’s awake :( I’m hoping it’s a little phase maybe and it will pass soon… today we have had some more settled times but then this evening a lot of crying again

you’re defo not alone girl! I’ve actually cried myself over it! I never had this with my first so I’m comparing which isn’t good to do! But feel like it’s draining me, but also I don’t want her to be unhappy! The fighting sleep is a battle some days! 😅 x

Avatar

so so draining! I’ve genuinely googled ‘when do babies become happy’ or ‘how do I make my baby happy’ because I need answers 😂😂 I’m glad it’s not just my grumpy baby lol! I don’t even think there is a reason either, like she doesn’t scream in pain ect! She just moans and will sleep for 15 mins wake up and do it again 😅 xx

by this age I was putting my first daughter under her play mat and she was quite happy and content, if I dare do that with this one she is pissed 😂😓 it’s defo a phase but a rather draining one! The anxiety of when she will next erupt is weighing heavy on me 😫😫

I could've written this post myself 🤣 my little guy is a little tyrant. Constantly screaming at me😔 it's especially bad in the evening after 6pm😫 and he fights sleep most of the time. It's exhausting. I'm hoping it's just a phase and not his personality 😅

it’s so frustrating when they are clearly tired and not giving in 😩 I think it is a phase, but does worry me that my little one is going to be a bad napper later on 😅

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🥲

Self settling

Any tips or advice of how to teach 6.5month old to self settle? I’m up multiple times in the night to cuddle her back to sleep and put the dummy in. I understand she will wake up and want a cuddle etc but any tips on self settling would be appreciated 🥰

Baby losing weight

Hi all, it's been a long time since I had a baby (my son is 15!). My daughter is 10 days old and was 9lb born, she has since lost weight at every appointment and is at a 12% loss. I am breast feeding every two hours for over an hour and topping her up every feed. I pump and can get 60ml in 10 minutes so I know my supply is okay. Anyone had this before? Can give me some tips? I currently feel like I'm letting my baby down.

How many words

Just a quick gauge of how many words your little ones are saying at this age. I heard by 15 months it should be 5 words, are most around this mark ?
