Doing research, the best mattress is a firm latex mattress, but they are SO expensive.

I have a memory foam mattress.

Firm foam 5” with a breathable sheet

Helix sleep has some reallllly comfy mattress in all different types of firmnesses

Firm mattress, not latex. But definitely not memory foam as it traps heat and molds to your body which can cause baby to suffocate or roll into you. I previously had a memory foam mattress before cosleeping and had to wait for the new one to be delivered before I could safely do so.

I have memory foam but we didn’t co sleep when my son was below 6 months though. As he got older I felt more comfortable doing it x

I believe I’ve seen a cosleep bedsharing account say that if you’re struggling to get the best mattress, to invest in a firm mattress topper. I’d double check that yourself with research, though!

I got a Plank Firm mattress and use the firmer side. I’ve also seen it suggested to get an extra firm latex mattress topper (2-3 inches thick) and use that as a floor bed or on top of your existing mattress (but I’d suggest testing the resulting firmness if combined with a softer mattress)

Sleep number! We can make it more firm when they’re in the bed and softer when they aren’t

Just something firm it’s really not majorly important you get the best. Just a firm mattress is all.
