8 week old not napping in cot

So I need some advice, my 8 week old sleeps perfectly at night from about 11pm till 5am but during the day will not sleep anywhere apart from on me or in his car seat. Is there something I can do to make him sleep in his cot during the day because I’m struggling to get anything done round the house, he screams untill I pick him up during the day

My 8 week old is exactly the same! My sling is my best friend. He loves it and does give me the freedom to do things around the house. I just keep telling myself that this stage won't last forever and to soak in all those cuddles, but it is tough 😅

It’s not help to get baby to sleep in the cot but as Chelsea said I rely on baby wearing! The only way I can get anything done as my little boy wants to be held 24/7

I also have a 8 week old, may I ask how you're getting him to sleep 6 hours straight?!! Mine will do 2 at a push

Have you tried darkening the room or white noise?

How do you get an 8 week old to sleep so many hours?! Mine us 11 weeks and is up for feeds every two hours day and night.

theirs no secret trick to it. All babies sleep differently. It's so normal for an 8 week old baby to be up every 2 hours for night feeds

@Chelsea I agree. Get a baby carrier and wear the baby while you get things done. They're still a newborn and need you

I think I just got lucky, from about 9pm he will breastfeed consistently till 11 xx

Leaky nappy help

What nappies are you using to stop leaks?? We use pampers ultra dry size 5, and for the past few nights he has lashed through and we’ve had to completely change him during the night. Last night he leashed through twice!! He sleeps on his front and stays leaks through at the top of his leg where the tabs connect. Didn’t know whether to size up, he has a bit of a belly on him but he’s smack in middle of weight guidance so shouldn’t need too

Am I wrong?

I’ve been wanting to add more garden beds to my garden. Husband says “hey do you want to go to Home Depot to get that wood for the garden beds.” Cool I’m excited I’ve been wanting to get this done for awhile.

We get there and we’re picking out wood and I make 2 comments about how I don’t like how 2 pieces of wood look that he picked out. And he says if you’re going to be this picky then u can do this yourself.

I literally made 2 comments and mind you I’m the one paying for the wood.

I felt dismissed and like my opinion didn’t matter and if I wanted to have an opinion then I need to do it myself. Like what?

It was rude and not okay. Am I wrong? Am I overreacting?

He thinks it was fine that he said that.

5.30am wakeups 😫😴

My 15 week old has started waking up about 5.30am and is really hard to settle back down - it’s like he thinks it’s time to wake up for the day. He used to go to bed at 9pm and was up at 8am but now he goes to bed between 7.30-8pm as he’s knackered by then but waking up at 5.30am😴. Any advice to get him to sleep a little longer in the morning?! Even an extra hour would be lovely 🤣
