Hello.
So I have a nearly 10 month old and it's just me and him 99% of the time. He goes nursery whilst I work, only time I get me time and he isn't here is the two extra hours I send him to nursery so I can be home to chill out a bit. I basically have no support. I often feel like my mum criticizes what I do with him (or don't do). Not once has she said oh you're doing really well etc.
I have suffered with PPD and rage. Id say I'm "mostly" coming out of that and I have also done this alone. I sought out help through therapy but it wasn't flexible enough. I couldn't focus on it for a full hour when I have my son and he's awake. I asked for a session in just that 2 hour short window I don't have him but they have no one available.
However, I do actually think I have issues with anger anyway. I'm stuck on how to deal with it. I feel I maybe get sensory overload. Maybe just overwhelmed in general like when my son naps feeling I need to tidy but also thinking I should have a bit of down time. Tiredness isn't helping, he isn't sleeping great which means neither am I. When I'm super tired, I get stressed and irritable, his crying can get too much and then if the dogs bark, TV is on etc.
I actually half wonder if I'm on the spectrum slightly. But thats another issue ha
I know anger etc are all normal human emotions. I guess I'm wondering what are ok ways to deal with it? Maybe ways to deal with it where it's okay for my son to see too?
I go for walks every day (1.5hrs a day)
I get a bit of down time when he naps.
I know to put baby in safe place if it's all too much etc
Anything else?
Thanks

I've heard very good things about loop earplugs or maybe try heasphones with music in when things are getting a bit much/overstimulated when baby is safe in cot etc. Is there anyway you could get any more rest too ? Maybe from family/friends?
