Breastfeeding

Am I a bad mum for wanting to stop breastfeeding?? 😩

My little girl is 13 days old and have been breastfeeding since birth. Lately it’s been so hard!! She is constantly on my boobs every minute of everyday and I have a toddler who I can’t do anything with because I’m always feeding. I failed with breastfeeding with my first so I really wanted to try hard this time round but I just don’t think I can do it 😩😩

Anyone else experienced this? Am I wrong for stopping?? 😩

You gotta do what’s right for you and your family momma ā¤ļø. Well done for trying. Could you maybe express some so you can combi if you really wanted her to have breast milk?

it’s so hard isn’t it 😩 thank you for saying this! Did you pump or just go straight onto formula? Xx

thank you, I’m gonna try pump for her and see what happens xxx

It isn't for everyone, and at least you tried. With my first , I breastfed for 3 years. This time, my little boy is 10 weeks, and I'm struggling because he doesn't go for more than an hour, maybe 1.5 max without wanting a feed. Thankfully, through the night, he goes longer, but it's so draining x

I found it did get easier the older he got. He now goes a few hours between feeds and is much more efficient. But you have to do what is best for you. Your mental health is important too x

Mine was constantly on me for basically the first 6 months. He literally used to feed about 20 times a day at the start. He’s my first so I couldn’t imagine doing that with another child as I literally did nothing else. You shouldn’t feel guilty for doing what’s right for both your children. It is normal though and does eventually get easier x

Absolutely not! There’s also nothing wrong with a bit of both. You have to look after yourself as much as baby. Without a happy mum you won’t have a happy baby

I combo fed expressed and formula (one of my twins occasionally went in the boob for a comfort feed too). I managed 3 weeks with my daughter and 8 weeks with my twins but it was seriously affecting my mental health and that’s when I knew it was time to stop

The first six weeks are the hardest
Hang in there it will get easier even easier than making bottle..
When my daughter was five days I had engorgement and I was so tired so I started expressing and my husband would give bottle
But after two months I stoped expressing as breastfeeding become so easier

No you’re not a bad mom. I ended up using bottles when it got bad just to use as a top up. You can still breastfeed while using bottles to help ā™„ļø it did wonders for my mental health

Wdy think of this for a toddler to learn word construction?

I'm open to anything else to start teaching him to read and write. He's 3!

Do men really enjoy fellatio?

Been together more than 10 years, but it's been a while since he even seemed remotely interested in me getting on my knees, or vice versa so to speak. I think it was once last year. Must be something I am doing wrong šŸ¤”. Generally everything else in that department is great and we have two young kids with no extra support, so it's quite surprising we can't keep our hands off each other but may need to try new things. It's basically 2 positions each time with some foreplay.

Vanilla extract

Has anyone used alcohol free vanilla in their babies formal to help them drink?
I’m 100% sure my baby refuses her bottles as she doesn’t like the taste of it!

Just anxious to try it, don’t want her to get used to it and then refuse bottles again after two weeks of using (correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve read you use it for 2 weeks max)

Car seat crying

My 6 month old PANICS the second I put him in a car seat and screams, cries, chokes and recently even projectile vomited on a 14 minute drive. It’s gotten to the point I don’t even bring him out unless it’s to a doctors appointment. I’m a stay at home mom with no family in my state and it has been very isolating. We’ve tried 3 different car seats with no improvement. Has anyone had a baby who hated the car seat? Any advice? This started at 3 months. I will add it does seem worse when he’s tired. He does cry on every trip though. He only contact naps and co sleeps so he reaches for me and will not sleep in the car seat.

Sex post C section

Hi ladies I’m 4 weeks 5 days postpartum and I had a C section. I’m not bleeding properly anymore just some brownish discharge stuff that starts on and off. I’d like to do the deed with my partner; is it okay to do so or shall I wait the full 6 weeks. I feel up for it but also worried because the advice is 6-8 weeks.

Naps

How is everyone doing for naps?

Little one is 9 months old and will have 2 half hour naps and one solid 1 hour - 2 hour nap a day

Then settles for night around 9pm. Wakes for a feed around 3:30 then sleeps until 6-7
