Ok is my baby the only one that is not sleeping through the night?!?!? She is 4.5 months and still wakes up every 2 hours š„² She was sleeping 4 hour stretches from birth up to 2 months, but after that itās been every 2hrs.. She went through the sleep regression and was waking every hour, and refusing naps. But I think sheās through it now, but sheās still not sleeping great.
I follow appropriate wake windows, keep consistent routine, have sound machine and dark room, and do everything I can to get her to nap enough during the day, even tried all kinds of swaddles and sleep sacks, and literally nothing has helped. I see so many people on here saying their babies are sleeping 6+ hours straight at night, and Iām like how???? I know all babies are different and I really hate to compare, but man I just feel defeated or like Iām maybe doing something wrong thatās causing my baby to not sleep??

You arenāt doing anything wrong! Mine did the EXACT same thing. He hit 4mo and started only sleeping 45 minutes at a time through the night for about a week. Now we are bake to 2 hours. Especially if you are BF, they will continue to have more wake ups during the night

nothing wrong at alllll! if youāre breastfeeding the melatonin in your milk reduces a lot after 2 months! that could be the reason of the wake-upās
thanks! Glad to know Iām not the only one struggling
that makes so much sense! I was breastfeeding but we switched her to formula two weeks ago and still no difference. Sometimes when she wakes she doesnāt even want the bottle, just wants comfort.

Nope, I feel like Iām still in the ānewborn trenchesā with my 5 month old šµāš«

My son was and still is a horrible sleeper. No matter what we tried he would wake up every 2 hours. He's now 2 and wakes up twice a night still š« you can try cutting back on day naps depending on how many you are giving and for how long. My daughter is on 3 naps a day right now and in bed by 7. She sleeps until 3am for boobie and then 6-7am up for good
omg thankfully my 2 year old is a great sleeper and sleeps through the night. How long are your daughterās naps? My daughter has about 4 naps a day but most of them are short 20-30min naps

@šŖ·FaithšŖ· i agree, my 2yr old was and still is a terrible sleeper! Still wakes up multiple times some nights, will ONLY sleep if me or dad is next to her...everrr. But my almost 4 months old has been soo much better, sleeps 6-8 hours stretches, eats and goes back for about 2 more hrs minimum.....i keep waiting for when this will change....im scared! But it goes to say....the sleep habit varies, baby to baby

Her first nap is around 30- 45min, second nap she's down for about a hour and a half, and third is another 30-45min

Babies wake a lot during the night! My girl does sleep from 8:30-6:30ish. But it was a lottt of work bc she wanted to party at night š
The biggest thing that helped me was to not immediately intervene. Sheāll randomly wake up and start screaming (playful scream, not crying) and will sing the song of her people till she eventually passes back out.
If she would wake up upset, I would give it a couple minutes and would go in there and try everything I could to keep her in the crib. So like, offer her paci, rub her head, etc.
if that failed, I would rock her AND if that didnāt work, I would offer the bottle.
Some babies take longer to connect long stretches to night time, so youāre definitely not doing anything wrong! Theyāll eventually get there!
