Hey. My sept 23 babies don’t, yet. However my sept 22 daughter takes her beaker to bed every night and without doubt she drinks the majority, if not all of it. Has done for a good year or so now. So I doubt the twins will be long before they do too

My son wakes up about 3am most nights asking for water (we cosleep and its on the nightstand other side of me, otherwise he would just do it himself). Just the same as some adults wake for a drink and some don't, it varies by person. It can also vary by how much they have drunk during the day. When it is hot they are more likely to want to drink more, including overnight.

Oh thanks ladies
Happy to see she isn’t the only one waking up

Just put a cup of water where they can reach. Adults wake up thirsty sometimes in the night, especially if it's hot. It's not surprising that a child may do the same.

My boy takes his water bottle to bed now, I check him on his monitor when he's drinking overnight just because I'm paranoid about him choking but so far he's literally been fine. He sits up, drinks some then lays back down

My LB always wakes but only sometimes wants water. We went through a couple of months when we always wanted it and I worried it was just a comfort thing but you cannot withhold water 🤷‍♀️😅

We put a water bottle in his bed, if he wants any he drinks it then puts it back before laying down to sleep.

My eldest is almost 7 and still does the same

How many naps does your 4MO have?

Hi ladies, just wondered how many naps your bubbas are having a day?

My little girl sleeps from 7:30pm - 6:30am ish and is still having around 5 naps a day. Her WW vary from an hour up to around 1hr 30/45 mins. I keep reading everywhere about babies transitioning to 3 naps a day but I just don’t see how this is possible as my LO gets so fussy if I push her WW too long.

TIA 🙏🤞

Cheap Car Seat

Hi all,

I need a cheap car seat for my mums car just for when she looks after my daughter incase she needs to pop out.

I ain’t particularly concerned over safety because it’s literally for emergencies only, as she plans everything around childcare - but I need something just incase she needs to go out.

Ideally looking for something under £80 - my daughters nearly 2 x

How much does your baby eat

Hello,

How much does your baby eat?

My boy is 4 months (17 + 5 weeks) and he weights 7kg (born 3.5kg)
Sometimes I have feeling he is eating too much…
From yesterday I had to start giving him more food as he started crying after food and asking for more. (100% formula)
He eats around 1.3L in 24 hours (6 feeds with 5 being during the day and 1 overnight) . On internet it says baby can eat 150-200ml per 1kg body weight so in theory my baby can eat max 1.4L so it would tell me he is not eating too much… just on higher end.
Then on internet it says baby shouldn’t eat more than 32oz (900ml) in 24 hours. So I’m a bit confused…

Hardest stage yet

I love my little boy to death but my god the 4-6 month stage is killing me off!
I did struggle with the newborn stage being a new mum but wow bring back my newborn 😭

Naps no more than 40 minutes at a time,
He use to sleep through now wakes up 1/2 times a night and wants to start the day at 6am 😴
Screaming like a banshee, loves to roll about but hates the fact he can’t crawl yet and makes it known 😂
cannot be kept entertained for more than 10 minutes at a time.
Doesn’t want to be held sometimes but doesn’t want to be put down (I can’t win 😅)
If it wasn’t for his cheeky personality and the smiles/belly laughs I think I would have lost my mind at this point!

Please tell me I’m not alone 🥲

Sleep training

Hi, has anyone started sleep training with their babies yet? I have been trying for the last few days and it broke me last night. I sobbed. I can’t see my baby that distressed. It’s awful. I guess I’m just wondering if I’m missing something or if there is light at the end of the tunnel! I really want her to be able to self soothe but am unsure how to teach her without letting her get so worked up. I think we are also in leap 5, so should I wait until after?

Sleep struggle 5 month old

Hi, my baby is 5 months old and I’m really struggling with his sleep.
I understand that waking for feeds is normal, but he wakes up almost every hour. He usually goes to sleep around 8:00–9:00 pm and gives one longer stretch of about 2 hours. After that, the wake-ups become very frequent. For example, if he wakes around 1:00 am, he then starts waking every 1 to 1.5 hours.
Most of the time, he doesn’t even feed properly he just keeps the nipple in his mouth for comfort and falls back asleep.
I’m feeling extremely exhausted and sleep deprived. He is exclusively breastfed and does not accept a bottle at all.
I’m not sure how to manage this situation or how to break this pattern. Any advice would really help.
