Sleep training

Hi, has anyone started sleep training with their babies yet? I have been trying for the last few days and it broke me last night. I sobbed. I can’t see my baby that distressed. It’s awful. I guess I’m just wondering if I’m missing something or if there is light at the end of the tunnel! I really want her to be able to self soothe but am unsure how to teach her without letting her get so worked up. I think we are also in leap 5, so should I wait until after?

Would recommend using an app to support you. I’m using little ones and began yesterday. They phase into it gently which is helpful so you don’t start with nights immediately- just naps. You have to do what feels right for you emotionally. I’m adjusting their timings for what I can cope with. Good luck!

I did an adjusted ferber (kept it 3-5-8 mins didnt change) as needed her to learn self soothing sooner rather than later cause i went back to work. Last night was night 10 and since night 5 shes been falling asleep within 10 mins (with zero to minimal crying/protesting). First night was easier than expected, night 2 and 3 broke me a little bit. However ever since then she’s been sleeping better at night, her restlessness is gone. Only wakes up for feeds and thats it

Started when she was 4.5 months old

Is it cheating

My husband just told me that at work he and his male friends/coworkers pinch each others nipples as like a joke, I think it’s inappropriate and it’s cheating in a way and he does not agree he thinks it’s just funny and nothings wrong with it

Deodorant

Ladies what deodorant are we all using?

Since the sun has finally remembered to exist and we've been going on more walks I STINK. I smell like I've been laying on the beach in the sun covered in oil all day. All just after going for a walk.

I know a lot of people struggle with this postpartum but it's so embarrassing!

I just can't seem to find one that works for me?

Help!?!

First wake window

How do you spend first wake window with your baby?
I am not morning person so I struggle to be all happy at 6-7am 🤣 and since first one is quite short (1.5 hrs - what is yours btw? 🤔) then what do you do in that time?
I won’t lie. Baby wakes up at 6.30am and I’m just waking up slowly on my own for the first 30 min while he is chilling next to me 🙈
Do you stay in bed and play there or do you leave bed and move around etc?

5 ounces of formula every 3 hours?

Hi,

My 6 week old is having 5 ounces of formula every 3 hours like clockwork. He is 4&1/2 kg and the doctors are very surprised. Is this normal?

Doctors said a baby of this age should be having 3 ounces. And i should look to reduce the amount but Baby cries after i give him 3 ounces but calm when hes had 5 ounces.

6 week old wont wake for bottle

Hi all, my little one has been unusually sleepy the past few days and has been much quieter. When she is fussing , its not her usual cries and high pitched moans, shes been moaning in a very low pitch which almost sounds like extremely weak cries.

Shes been asleep for almost 4 hours, which is unusual for the day. Usually she gets hungry every 2 hours so ive changed her nappy and tried to wake her about an hour ago and had no luck.

Tried talking to her and stroking her and shes just been a little jumpy but still not woke up.

Is this normal, im worried she may be ill but there arent any other signs like a fever/ high temp/ or sniffles.
